SISCO (Self Insured Services Company) is looking for someone that can help us launch an established TPA service into markets that are new to us. Through SISCO, your broker-partners can leverage the strength of national carriers coupled with the oversight of an independent TPA.

Why join SISCO? Sales has never been so easy! Although SISCO is a mid-sized TPA (about 450,000 EE lives), we are owned by a much larger insurance services firm and have access to a number of services that fit hand-in-glove with self funded claim administration (a team of clinicians, a health & wellness division, and consulting services for human resources and compliance). SISCO’s performance-based benefit administration services focus on ensuring excellent participant medical care while minimizing employer costs. We accomplish this by utilizing our in-house health plan administration, strategic bill review, subrogation, eligibility audits, consumerism engagement tools and medical management. All supported by a customer service call center staffed by licensed agents to facilitate the enrollment process.

Still need more? We already have the leads, so you won’t be starting from scratch. We have established distribution channels through multiple outlets. In addition to serving employers, you will partner with brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, and accountable care organizations.  This is not your traditional TPA. We do it better. Learn more at www.siscobenefits.com.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
  • Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years' quota carrying sales experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Key ingredients for a successful candidate would include; expertise in the sales and administration of self-funded, ERISA-based health plans, and an established network of brokers who operate in this space

About SISCO:

SISCO was established in 1980 as a boutique third-party administrator dedicated to the administration of unique, complex plan designs. Today, SISCO is recognized as a premier third-party administrator for employee benefits, serving 600+ employers and 1,000,000+ members from our headquarters in Dubuque, IA.

For the past decade, many Health Insurance Carriers and Payers have been quietly driving industry trends in the wrong direction. The result is a lower standard of prudent review and ever-increasing costs. Our strategy is to simply administer employer plans with the same care, diligence, and expertise we apply to our own benefit program. Learn more at www.siscobenefits.com

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
