At Webflow, we value design excellence and craftsmanship, and as an independent contractor, you will be instrumental in delivering services that advance our high standards across various touchpoints.

The SEO/AEO Editorial Contractor will provide editorial management services for Webflow’s SEO content pipeline — from article assignment to quality assurance and staging. The ideal contractor possesses exceptional editorial eye, demonstrates a strong commitment to precision and consistency, and understands how optimized content connects to search intent and brand voice.
The contractor will:
- Execute editorial operations for SEO/AEO content, from brief review to publication.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to identify and execute large-scale content refreshes, using tools like AirOps and Webflow CMS workflows.
- Apply and uphold high editorial standards across AI-assisted and human-written content.
- Update metadata, structured data, and internal linking across content pieces to align with optimization best practices.
- Provide recommendations for internal documentation and process improvements for the content refresh and publishing lifecycle.
- Review published content for quality, accuracy, and compliance with editorial standards.
- Stage and publish content in Webflow CMS. Conduct final content checks for formatting, links, metadata, and on-page optimization.
The ideal contractor will have:
- Hands-on experience in SEO content, editorial management, or content operations.
- Deep editorial sensibility — exceptional attention to grammar, structure, and tone, with the ability to apply and ensure brand and style consistency across contributors.
- Strong familiarity with SEO fundamentals (search intent, metadata optimization, internal linking, schema).
- Experience with Webflow (particularly with CMS Collections, rich text fields, and SEO settings) or other content management systems preferred.
- Proven ability to independently manage editorial calendars, production timelines, and contributor workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AI content automation tools (AirOps, Writer, or similar) a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Airtable, or Asana for editorial and project tracking.
The contractor must demonstrate a strong combination of editorial acumen and operational efficiency. Meticulous attention to detail in all content elements, including formatting, linking, schema, and metadata, is required. Proficiency in editing drafts, structuring content within a CMS, and executing content refresh workflows is essential. A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements to ensure the smooth, accurate, and efficient delivery of high-volume editorial projects is highly valued.
Please note: As this is an independent contractor engagement, the role does not include employee benefits. The consultant will be responsible for their own business expenses and insurance. This contract position is project-specific for a term of 3 months (expected to finalize this project within this timeframe), with the consultant's expertise focused on achieving the outlined marketing objectives for Webflow and delivering the agreed-upon project outcomes.
