Who you areMetropolis is seeking a passionate and proactive Senior Workplace Experience Lead to bring energy, creativity, and structure to our Santa Monica HQ. This role blends the strategic with the hands-on, managing day-to-day office operations while also owning the employee experience in ways that inspire connection, culture, and collaboration. What you'll do- Oversee daily operations and the guest experience at Santa Monica HQ while providing support to satellite locations as needed
- Manage annual operating and capital budgets, track financial variances, and optimize operational expenses
- Lead relationships with service providers and building management to ensure seamless performance
- Maintain inventory systems for catering, shipping, and office supplies to keep the workspace functional and productive
- Coordinate workspace changes, build-outs, and potential office move logistics
- Build department policies and procedures in compliance with International Health and Safety Standards
- Conduct regular site condition audits and manage the resolution of any identified deficiencies
- Plan and manage daily or weekly meal programs and on-site meeting catering to reflect company culture and professionalism; oversee the food and beverage budget, balancing high-quality perks with cost-effective purchasing strategies
- Implement eco-friendly practices such as reducing single-use plastics and managing food waste programs
- Create high-impact in-office moments and lead logistics for major events including leadership offsites, holiday parties, and team celebrations
- 4+ years in workplace experience, facilities, or office operations in a fast-paced environment
- A creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset who thrives on autonomy
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills - you juggle priorities with calm and clarity
- An enthusiastic, magnetic presence who brings others along with their energy
- Proactive and self-driven - you don’t wait to be told what to fix or improve
- Comfortable managing vendors, budgets, and simultaneous projects
- Familiar with Google Workspace and project management tools
- Experience executing culture initiatives within a startup or high-growth company
- Demonstrated success with return-to-office engagement or office-first transitions
- Proven ability to report on workplace engagement and usage trends
When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $85,000.00 USD to $110,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more. #LI-CH1 #LI-Onsite
