In this role, you will create, iterate and evolve mobile app experiences that our riders will love and choose. You will work across the organization to make strategic decisions and run the design process on key squads and initiatives. You will lead and champion a human-centered design process and culture.
In this role you will:
- Champion a Human-Centered process, collaborating across the company to prioritize and solve scenarios and create impactful, brand-aligned solutions that advance our strategy.
- Partner closely with UX Research to design and run studies, leveraging insights and communicating design solutions to inform product direction for diverse audiences and organizational levels.
- Design elegant, accessible, intuitive, and delightful mobile app interfaces and interactions, based on a deep understanding of our riders and other road users.
- Create, test, and iterate on the app's information architecture, wireframes, and user journeys, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring features to life; ideate and validate UX/UI design for both iOS and Android.
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities to orchestrate complex projects with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Zoox's design systems and principles.
- Proficiently design systems architecture with a strong focus on accessibility, including implementing WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.
- Clearly and effectively present design strategies, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills to convey design concepts.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of professional design experience within a commercial environment.
- Demonstrated history of successfully launching digital products.
- Proven ability to design and deliver applications specifically for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Expert-level proficiency in design tools like Figma or Sketch, coupled with strong UX prototyping skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Expertise in 3D animation techniques to create visually engaging content and bring ideas to life through dynamic visual content.
- Experience working in AV, mobility, or automotive industries.
- Experience designing for a wide range of users and abilities.
