Job description: Senior UX Designer
About the Team:
Obsidian Security is looking for a talented Senior UX Designer responsible for driving end-to-end user experiences and owning the quality of design outcomes for their features. Working closely with the Product and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for advocating for user goals while developing new features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to take features from concept to launch.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma designs.
- Clearly and effectively present work to internal teams.
- Work closely with our engineering team to ensure high-quality implementations.
- Participate in co-creation design workshops with the UX and product teams and other cross-disciplinary partners.
- Interviewing users and customers to understand their needs.
- Contribute to our overall strategy and decision-making about product direction.
- Stay informed of competitor products and industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of significant demonstrable experience with end-to-end design and execution of shipping products and features.
- An outstanding portfolio that showcases your foundation in product design, highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions, as well as demonstrating your design process and priorities.
- Exceptional design skills with an insistence on quality and design-for-impact.
- Ability to leverage and, when necessary, execute user research
- Experience with enterprise and SaaS UX design patterns and challenges
- Experience working in a high-velocity agile environment, from ideation and prototyping to testing.
- Developing artifacts to validate ideas in the form of prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups.
- Experience collaborating closely with product managers, product designers, and engineers to create experiences and patterns at scale.
- Excellent communication skills and clearly articulating the rationale behind your design decisions.
- Experience implementing UI design systems in an iterative software development environment.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
- Working knowledge of Front-end team practices and how to collaborate when implementing your designs
- A basic understanding of how designs translate to the web, with a strong focus on accessibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with security software and/or big data design principles.
- Some familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS and JS.
- Some familiarity with data visualization design.
Pay Transparancy
Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for incentive compensation based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Base Salary Range
$127,000—$180,000 USD
