About The Role

We are looking for Senior User Acquisition Manager (UAM) to take full ownership of TikTok acquisition for D2C products. This is a hands-on media buying role. You will be the owner of TikTok as an acquisition channel for your brand: from account structure, bidding and budget allocation to creative testing, measurement and scaling. You will work against real revenue data (CPA, ROAS, payback), not surface-level platform metrics, and you are expected to find and unlock new growth levers on your own.

We work AI-first, so we also expect you to use Claude and automation to speed up campaign builds, analysis, reporting and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own all TikTok acquisition: strategy, execution, and results.

  • Scale spend profitably across geos and funnels while holding CPA, ROAS and payback targets based on real revenue data.

  • Build and optimize account structure, conversion events, bidding strategies and budget allocation (including Smart+ / automated campaign types, Spark Ads and other TikTok formats).

  • Run a structured creative testing process: brief and iterate with the creative team, define hypotheses, decide what to kill and what to scale, and fight creative fatigue.

  • Analyze performance daily and weekly, diagnose drops and spikes quickly, and act on them.

  • Work with product, analytics and creative teams to improve funnels, signals and attribution quality.

  • Maintain account health: handle ad disapprovals, appeals and restrictions, and build prevention-first habits so policy issues are caught before launch.

  • Work with the TikTok team on betas, new campaign types, product changes and escalations.

  • Document tests, learnings and playbooks so knowledge does not depend on one person.

  • Use Claude and automation to speed up campaign builds, QA, reporting and optimization.

  • Test new Paid Social Channels, such as: OpenAI Ads, X Ads, and others.

QualificationsMust-Have Experience
  • Senior: 5+ years of hands-on paid social / user acquisition experience.

  • Strong hands-on TikTok Ads experience as a primary channel: scaling accounts profitably, not just running tests.

  • Proven record of managing sizeable budgets independently: ideally $1M+/month on TikTok or paid social.

  • Strong understanding of subscription / app economics: LTV, ROAS, payback windows, cohorts.

  • Solid creative testing discipline and experience working with creative teams on concepts and iteration.

  • Experience with policy issues: disapprovals, appeals, account restrictions.

  • Analytical mindset: comfortable working with MMP / backend data and diagnosing performance from account-level data.

  • Ownership mentality: able to run a channel end-to-end with minimal supervision.

  • Clear, direct communication.

Strong Advantage
  • Experience with D2C subscription, health, wellness or app products, and with web-to-app / web funnels.

  • Experience with Meta or other paid social platforms alongside TikTok.

  • Experience working directly with TikTok platform reps on betas and escalations.

  • Experience building Claude, AI or automation workflows for media buying.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

Benefits
  • Remote Work Environment: Embrace the freedom to work from anywhere, anytime, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

  • Unlimited PTO: Enjoy unlimited paid time off to recharge and prioritize your well-being, without counting days.

  • Recruiter Screening (40 minutes)

  • Technical Interview (60 minutes)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
