Support and test tax system configurations, build data validation and automated processes for indirect tax reporting, analyze large datasets across lines of business, develop and test SQL reports, and produce programmatic reports and analyses to support tax reporting and decision making.
What you’ll need
- 3-6 years of professional experience in industry or practice
- Degree in computer science, data science, finance, accounting, tax, math, physics and/or any other related field
- Good experience with Python or other object-oriented programming language
- Good SQL knowledge and a proper understanding of relational database
- Robust knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Comfortable handling big data & performing complex analysis
- Good English written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytic skills and passion for indirect tax rules/logic/data analysis
- Critical thinker ready to problem solve within different areas of the operations and finance organizations
- Comfortable diving deep into technical problems and working through solutions with subject matter experts
- Attention to detail (being right the first time matters a lot to us)
- Self-motivated, passionate, dedicated, ‘can-do’ attitude and a positive outlook
What you'll do
- Support and test system configuration, and build data validation processes for indirect tax rules for existing (and proposed) business models and markets.
- Test new and existing features in in-house financial reporting tools (identify bugs, suggest and implement improvements).
- Work and collaborate with various internal stakeholders on projects including system testing, data sharing, tax reporting.
- Together with the team, build (automated) processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in global tax reporting and tax system monitoring.
- Acquire and analyze data across multiple lines of business including Mobility and Delivery.
- Support building and testing reports in SQL to meet various countries’ tax and data reporting requirements.
- Using programming skills, produce periodic reports or statistical analysis for internal stakeholders that enable effective business analysis and decision making.
