Job Description

Sr Specialist, Supply Chain – Network Planning

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Senior Specialist, Supply Chain – Network Planning based onsite in El Segundo, CA.

The role will lead S&OP planning across Kite's clinical portfolio, translating demand forecasts into executable supply, capacity, inventory, and risk management strategies. This role serves as a key cross-functional partner across Clinical Operations, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted patient supply and informed business decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical and Commercial S&OP and Supply Planning

  • Support development and maintenance of executable clinical/commercial supply plans aligned with demand, capacity, inventory, cost, and service objectives.
  • Lead supply planning inputs to the S&OP and S&OE processes, including scenario analysis, risk assessment, assumptions management, and mitigation planning.
  • Enable leadership decision-making within S&OP by translating data into options and recommendations and building cross-functional consensus.
  • Own consolidation of S&OP planning assumptions from multiple cross-functional partners.

Support Clinical and Commercial Supply Continuity

  • Partner with Clinical Operations, study teams, Manufacturing, and Site Supply Chain to ensure patient readiness and continuity of supply through S&OE and other executional forums.
  • Support design and build out of new clinical planning processes for pipeline operations, including in vivo therapies as a future consideration.
  • Support Commercial supply planning as required.
  • Drive development and endorsement of clinical service level agreements for new studies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to enrollment and demand variability, study design, and tactical patient supply challenges.

Network Planning, Risk and Resilience

  • Maintain an integrated view of network supply risks, mitigation plans, and leadership reporting within the S&OP cycle.
  • Facilitate contingency planning and drive actions that improve network resilience and plan execution.
  • Serve as the primary planning liaison between Vector and Finished Product within Network Planning for assigned products.

Process Excellence and Analytics

  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, governance, KPIs, reporting, and decision-support tools.
  • Support planning system enhancements and advanced planning capabilities, including application of AI in day-to-day planning processes.
  • Lead projects and initiatives that improve planning effectiveness, visibility, and business performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build strong partnerships across Clinical, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Act as a trusted planning leader and subject matter expert for clinical supply planning and S&OP.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of S&OP, S&OE, MRP/DRP, supply planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Experience supporting supply planning in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning and drive decisions in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MA / MS with 2+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or External Manufacturing experience, or…
  • BA / BS Degree with 4+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or External Manufacturing Experience, or…
  • Associate Degree with 6+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or External Manufacturing Experience, or…
  • High School Diploma / GED and 8+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or External Manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting autologous CAR-T or In Vivo supply planning and patient scheduling.
  • Experience with planning systems such as Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP APO, SAP IBP or OMP. Experience in applying AI capabilities to improve efficiency and streamline processes a plus.
  • Experience with PowerPoint charting tools such as think-cell.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.


 

The salary range for this position is: $107,185.00 - $138,710.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
