Winchester Interconnect is committed to inspiring the most innovative teams. We foster a dynamic, inclusive environment that thrives on collaboration and continuous growth. We hire exceptional people, celebrate wins, empower employee growth, and provide opportunities to thrive. Winchester is where potential transforms into purpose, and every team member plays a vital role in shaping our shared success.

Position Summary:

As our Senior Supply Chain Planner, you will be the vital link between customer demand, plant floor operations, and procurement. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end production scheduling and material flow within our Garden Grove manufacturing facility, taking responsibility for creating, optimizing, and maintaining master production schedules that maximize plant throughput and ensure 100% on-time delivery to our customers.

Operating in a high-mix, regulated aerospace and defense environment, you will address complex capacity bottlenecks, resolve material shortages before they impact production, and drive continuous improvement within our ERP/MRP systems and planning workflows. As a senior-level contributor, you will bring strong analytical skills and crisis management agility to anticipate conflicts, balance resources, and keep operations running seamlessly.

This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations.
  • 6–8+ years of direct experience in production scheduling, master planning, or material control in a high-mix or high-volume manufacturing plant environment. Experience working under AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems is highly desired.
  • Deep technical proficiency with major ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., SAP PP/MM, Oracle SCM, Epicor, Infor) and advanced scheduling software/APS tools; Syspro experience is a strong plus.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas) or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) for capacity modeling and scenario analysis.
  • APICS/ASCM certification is strongly preferred (e.g., CPIM - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, or CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional).
  • Solid understanding of Lean, Kanban, Just-In-Time (JIT) material flow, and Theory of Constraints (TOC).
  • Able to make rapid, data-backed decisions under pressure when unexpected material shortages, machine breakdowns, or rush orders occur.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively bridge priorities between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Program Management/Customer Service.
  • Exceptional quantitative and problem-solving skills to anticipate schedule conflicts before they reach the factory floor.

Our core values - Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE) - are the foundation of how we operate and drive success. You will take ownership of your contributions, collaborate with a team that gets stuff done, and be empowered to innovate and pursue bold initiatives that drive our business forward.

Are You Our Next ACE?

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed finite daily and weekly production schedules for multiple production lines, work centers, and assembly areas.
  •

Conduct rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) and detailed line-level capacity analysis to balance labor, machinery, and material availability against sales forecasts and firm customer orders.

  •

Partner daily with Production Supervisors and Operations Managers to review schedule adherence, address line stoppages, and re-sequence orders dynamically when disruptions occur.

  • Collaborate closely with Buyers and Procurement to ensure raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies arrive in-plant to align seamlessly with production start dates.
  • Optimize Safety Stock, Reorder Points (ROP), and Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) to maintain lean inventory levels while eliminating stockouts and line downtime.
  • Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) levels across the plant floor to prevent bottlenecks, control lead times, and optimize overall shop-floor flow.
  • Act as an ERP/MRP super-user, maintaining master data integrity (lead times, bills of materials (BOMs), routing times, batch sizes) within the system to ensure accurate scheduling logic.
  • Track, report, and drive improvement on core operational KPIs, including Schedule Attainment, On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, Inventory Turnover, and Downtime due to material shortages.
  • Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives within the planning department, automating scheduling workflows, standardizing material replenishment strategies (e.g., Kanban/Pull systems), and reducing production lead times.
  • Ensure all supply chain processes and documentation comply with AS9100, ITAR, and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Systems You’ll Use:

  • Google Workspace / SmartView / Salesforce / Planful / AwardCo
  • ADP / Syspro / QMS / LYNQ / SQL / ESQL

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
