Job Description

What You’ll Do  

40% - Strategic Planning 

  • Proactively identify and aid in the development of sound, strategic media plans with guidance/input from Supervisor, all based on client direction and an understanding of media principles 
  • Responsible for analysis of consumer research (i.e. YouGov, Nielsen, eMarketer) to identify target consumption insights and support for plan development  
  • Collaborate on the development of POVs for new media opportunities on an ongoing basis 
  • Partner with junior and senior team members to generate presentation decks, put together final draft of presentation and participate in presenting to clients 
  • Continue to strengthen understanding of media strategy and applications, proactive in taking part in internal training and development opportunities 

30% - Account Management 

  • Ensure flawless execution and attention to detail is maintained across all deliverables, requires a keen eye to detail while maintaining swift output across team.  
  • Create, format, and update flowcharts, plan sheets, planning cost worksheets, and various client trackers; ensuring output is accurate and provided at a brisk pace to handle the high volume of client deliverables.  
  • Prepare and distribute traffic instructions, partner with Traffic team to track deadlines and deliverables, responding to any inquiries appropriately 
  • Own and ensure accuracy of billing, budgets; work closely with budget analyst, when applicable 
  • Organize team documents and maintain timelines to ensure all client deadlines are met 
  • Contribute to frameworks and templates for presentation decks, team projects, and monthly recap of team project highlights. 
  • Build and strengthen relationships with core clients, jumping in to respond to client communication as warranted and supervised as well as industry partners by serving as a Horizon Media contact 

20% - Internal Relationship Management 

  • Manage day-to-day team projects serving as a key liaison to help manage timelines and deliverables for internal and cross functional teams 
  • Responsible for leading internal meetings, including setting agenda and providing a clear meeting recap 
  • Lead communication with other teams i.e. Investment, Traffic, Operations, for all day-to-day media plan deliverables and buy maintenance 
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify problems and recommend solutions 

10% - Mentorship & Guidance 

  • Form close relationships with the other Strategist(s), working across pods to support each other and the greater team as needed. Collaborate and help Strategist and/or Assistant colleagues in skill development to promote strong baseline support for the greater team. 
  • Contribute to future performance reviews of junior team members identifying strengths and areas for growth 
  • Participate in the interview process for future Assistant/Strategist roles

   Preferred Skills & Experience  

  • 2+ years previous media planning experience 
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, media math/terminology and basic analytical tools (MRI, R/Fs, etc.) 
  • Prior experience working on a dynamic fast paced entertainment brand   
  • Client relationship management experience 
  • Experience developing and presenting plan presentations 
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process

Salary Range

$66,300.00 - $80,000.00
