The Job At-A-Glance:

PrecisionLender’s (PL) Business Advisory team is looking for a banking professional with commercial banking experience and deep analytical curiosity to join our team. As the Senior Strategic Business Advisor this individual will focus on contributing to the key objectives of the advisory group including:

  • Delivering innovative platform solutions to our customers using your analytical skills, financial expertise, knowledge of our platforms and functionality, and understanding of commercial banking products.

  • Providing guidance to help customers ensure pricing strategies appropriately align to their internal processes related to cost of funds, credit capital and expense methodologies.

As an recognized subject matter expert in the organization, you will collaborate with the Delivery Team and Customer Success Managers to ensure customers are maximizing the value of the platform while at the same identify tactics for driving greater profitability. You will also partner with members of the broader Q2 Advisory team to develop and deliver consulting strategies that help solve client problems, provide metrics to support business value and deepen Q2 relationships via through various consulting engagements.

You will draw on your ability to proactively influence people and projects with a high degree of independent decision making and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Client Analytics and Reporting
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients by responding to questions and engaging with them to help solve problems with PrecisionLender as it relates to pricing structure and reporting.
  • PL Product Implementation and Configuration Consulting
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the PrecisionLender platform regarding product configuration and calculation methodologies to internal teams and external clients.
  • Evaluate and understand legacy pricing tools and methodologies of newly signed customers. Identify functional & methodology gaps between legacy bank pricing tools and the PrecisionLender platform.

Advisory Services
  • Advise internal teams (Sales, Delivery, Product Development) about commercial pricing impacts on bank financial statements. This may include capital / credit loss / funding / liquidity methodologies, pricing strategies, and profitability metrics.
  • Research and share current and future banking regulations including Basel capital requirements, IFRS 9 and CECL requirements with clients and internal teams.

Additional Job Description
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or similar related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in financial institutions, 3+ years within a large national or global bank with focus on commercial loan pricing, risk management, finance, analytics, or similar functions. Cross functional experience in these areas preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products, particularly credit and treasury products.
  • Knowledge of credit risk concepts, including economic and regulatory capital
  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent team player who can work with virtual and cross-functional teams.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
