  • We were recently named a top 10 best place to work in NYC by Crain's.

Despite our growth and scale, we're still just getting started. That's where you come in.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior / Staff Product Manager to own product strategy and execution for Radar Maps Platform. This role is based in our NYC HQ.

For years, teams have had to stitch together expensive, fragmented, and legacy mapping providers. Many start with Google Maps or Mapbox, then run into cost, flexibility, reliability, or platform limitations as they scale. Radar Maps Platform is changing that.

Radar Maps Platform has geocoding, autocomplete, address validation, search, routing, map tiles, static maps, dynamic maps, and UI components in one developer-friendly platform. But Radar is more than a maps provider. We also offer a full-stack geofencing platform, giving customers maps, geocoding, routing, location tracking, geofencing, trip tracking, places, fraud detection, and location intelligence in one integrated platform.

That combination is unique. Customers can replace legacy maps vendors, reduce cost and complexity, and build richer location-based experiences on top of the same infrastructure already powering their geofencing, tracking, marketing, operations, and fraud use cases. Hundreds of companies have switched to Radar Maps Platform in the last few years.

What you'll do:

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, execution, and customer outcomes for one of Radar's fastest-growing products, Radar Maps Platform

  • Work closely with customers and prospects to understand how they use maps today, why they are switching from legacy providers, and what they need to build better location-based experiences

  • Lead a full-stack product team of engineers and designers shipping across backend systems, frontend experiences, web and mobile SDKs, APIs, UI components, map rendering, dashboard workflows, playgrounds, usage tracking, documentation, and developer tools

  • Use data analysis to understand where Radar Maps Platform has gaps in coverage, accuracy, freshness, latency, or cost, then work with Engineering and external data providers to close those gaps

  • Write crisp product specs, 1-pagers, documentation, and launch plans

  • Use AI to move faster: creating designs, prototypes, analyses, documentation, and even code changes where useful

  • Run sprint planning, QA product experiences, keep projects on track, and help the team ship high-quality work quickly

Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked on maps, geocoding, routing, search, logistics, delivery, mobility, developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, data infrastructure, or location-based products

  • Have worked with address data, POI data, map tiles, road network data, imagery, or other geospatial datasets

  • Are a former founder or have operated with founder-level ownership

The hiring process:

After a call with our Technical Recruiter, you'll do several Zoom calls with members of our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams. If those go well, we'll invite you to our NYC HQ for a final round interview. You'll meet one of our co-founders, someone from outside EPD, and more people from around the company.

You'll work with:

  • Nick Patrick, Co-Founder and CEO

  • Tim Julien, CTO

  • The Radar Maps Platform Engineering team

  • Our customers and prospects

  • Our Marketing, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Sales teams

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful stock options in a fast-growing company

  • 401(k) plan with 4% match

  • New HQ in Flatiron, NYC

  • Top-notch equipment

  • Catered lunches

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% coverage for employees

  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave

  • Commuter and fitness benefits

Compensation:

For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $300,000/year with an opportunity for performance bonuses and incentives.

In addition to cash compensation, Radar offers full-time employees stock option grants under its equity plan. This is a meaningful ownership stake in the company we provide to our employees as we build a category-defining company.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Your exact offer may vary based on market location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
