Role Summary 

The Business Analyst will drive end-to-end business analysis for payments solutions, working across real-time, clearing, and settlement systems. This role involves gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, message mappings, and user stories while ensuring alignment with ISO 20022 standards. The incumbent will collaborate closely with banks, product, and engineering teams to support delivery, testing, and production readiness across the payments lifecycle.

Strong communication skills (ability to describe the situation, articulate the problem, scenario, results and functional document writing)
Comfortable working in a team, also with members of other teams (Architect and Development) when needed.
Good analytical skills: understand the problem, analyse a situation, propose a solution.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and environments.

What You Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

Must-Haves

• Overall 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst ideally in SaaS, digital transformation, or fintech/payments environments.

• Experience across at least one payment type such as SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, real-time payments (FPS, NPP, IMPS, NEFT) or local clearing systems. Payment rails like Fednow/RTP, Fedwire, ACH.

• Exposure to leading payments products/platforms (e.g., Finastra GPP, ACI UPF, FIS, Fiserv, IBM FTM, SWIFT, Vocalink) is a plus

• Strong experience in payments business analysis, including FRD/FSD creation, message mapping, ISO 20022 knowledge, and change management

• Solid understanding of the end-to-end payments lifecycle, from initiation through clearing and settlement

• Hands-on with interfaces and integrations (IRD) across banking systems and collaboration with business and technology teams

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, production (L2/L3), defect triage, user stories, and requirements traceability

Nice-to-Haves

Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools and environments.
Strong articulation skills
Hands-on experience in JIRA and Confluence.
