Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the systems that power our software products. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend systems using a variety of programming languages.
  • Act as a mentor to junior engineers on the team.
  • Think ahead and draft up milestone goals for deliverables.
  • Participate in architecture design reviews and development of projects.
  • Optimize database performance and implement data security measures.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that follows best practices and adheres to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  • Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.

Requirements

  • A strong desire to mentor junior engineers.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in backend development using Python.
  • Experience with database design and management.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of REST API design principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
