We are seeking an exceptional Senior Mobile Engineer to join our world-class team of developers, artists, creatives, and operators as we push the boundaries of content and digital experience.

In this role, you will help drive the development of a cutting-edge mobile application to complement our online platform, anime.com, and redefine how anime fans discover, experience, and connect with content. As a leader in mobile engineering, you'll design and build a high-performance iOS, leveraging Swift and SwiftUI to deliver a refined, immersive, and seamless user experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Comfortable leading mobile development projects from inception to completion, including architecture, scoping, and implementation, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a first-principles approach to development rather than following trends blindly.

  • Writes clean, maintainable, and modular code with a strong understanding of mobile performance optimization.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, able to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to translate product goals into robust technical solutions.

  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful with a strong work ethic.

TECHNICAL EXPECTATIONS
  • Expert-level experience in iOS development (Swift) with a solid understanding of SwiftUI and UIKit for building rich, dynamic user interfaces.

  • Deep knowledge of mobile animation techniques and interactive design to create highly engaging user experiences.

  • Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles and their implementation in mobile apps.

  • Experience with backend integrations such as APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and cloud services.

  • A strong focus on performance optimization and state management for smooth, responsive apps.

  • Understanding of mobile security best practices (encryption, secure authentication, API security, etc.).

  • Experience with App Store submission processes and familiarity with CI/CD for mobile.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile application development (preferably in iOS with Swift).

  • Strong experience in building expressive, animated mobile UIs that prioritize user experience.

  • Proven experience with iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit), architecture, and performance optimization.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A track record of shipping high-quality mobile applications at scale.

  • Ability to work independently, manage your own projects, and navigate through ambiguity.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across design, product, and engineering teams.

PAY & BENEFITS
  • Starting base pay for this role is between $150,000 to $200,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and transferable skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
