About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on one of our Core Experience Teams, you will play a crucial role in our engineering efforts behind critical product areas such as booking, scheduling, and payments. This position involves significant contributions to our user-facing web and mobile applications, built with React.js and React Native, while also participating in the development of our backend services built using Kotlin. You'll work within a collaborative team to deliver high-impact solutions that directly contribute to our product's success and user satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing applications using React.js and/or React Native.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions.
• Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across our frontend and backend systems.
• Help define and uphold engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt and areas for improvement within the codebase.
• Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipelines for web and mobile.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development
• Proven expertise with React and/or React Native for building robust applications.
• Experience with backend development preferred, including API design and implementation.
• You have experience working in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
• You have a desire to work in a fast paced environment, a bias for action, a passion for self-improvement, and helping to elevate and mentor those around you
• You're comfortable picking up new technologies (our team builds on Ruby, React, Kotlin, and React Native, and our stack will continue to evolve.)

The starting base salary for this role in New York and California is between $160,000-$210,000+ target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in GlossGenius’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within our total rewards offering.
