Data is at the core of modern business, yet many teams struggle with its overwhelming volume and complexity. At Atlan, we’re changing that. As the world’s first active metadata platform, we help organisations transform data chaos into clarity and seamless collaboration.

From Fortune 500 leaders to hyper-growth startups, from automotive innovators redefining mobility to healthcare organisations saving lives, and from Wall Street powerhouses to Silicon Valley trailblazers — we empower ambitious teams across industries to unlock the full potential of their data.

Recognised as leaders by Gartner and Forrester and backed by Insight Partners, Atlan is at the forefront of reimagining how humans and data work together. Joining us means becoming part of a movement to shape a future where data drives extraordinary outcomes.

Why This Role Matters

Atlan’s mission is to help the humans of data & AI do their life’s best work. To do that, we need a bold voice in the places where industry narratives are shaped — LinkedIn and X.

Reporting directly to the VP of Growth and working extremely closely with our co-founder, this role ensures Atlan doesn’t just join the conversation, but leads it. Building on our founder’s established thought leadership around the context layer for the AI world, you’ll craft engaging edutainment content, scale employee advocacy, and help position Atlan as the de facto choice for the context layer — one of the most authoritative and engaging brands in the category.

Your work will fuel awareness, pipeline, and community growth by turning social into our most powerful channel of influence.

Your Mission
  • Amplify Leadership Voice: Position our co-founder as the go-to voice on AI-ready data organizations with weekly content calendars, rapid responses to industry shifts, and amplified event participation.

  • Build Advocacy at Scale: Create a structured Atlanian advocacy program with content kits, templates, and recognition systems that inspire participation across the company.

  • Create Edutainment Content: Launch flagship series that make complex topics simple and fun — from “Data Disasters” deep dives to “Metadata Memes.” Use polls, threads, and conversations to drive interaction.

  • Showcase Team & Culture: Bring Atlan’s product and engineering excellence, values, and remote-first culture to life through stories that attract top talent and humanize our brand.

How Success Will Be Measured
  • Growth: Follower and engagement growth across LinkedIn, X, and co-founder profiles.

  • Engagement: Spark meaningful conversations and advocacy among the humans of data — turning founders, employees, and community members into active voices of the Atlan story.

  • Business Impact: Pipeline generation from social, stronger employer brand, and increased customer advocacy.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B SaaS social media strategy, with proven success on LinkedIn and X. Experience building executive thought leadership and employee advocacy programs at scale.

  • Skills: Deep knowledge of analytics, optimization, and platform-specific tactics. Strong content creation skills (writing, design, light video editing). Familiarity with scheduling, automation, and CRM tools. Experience with Canva and Figma preferred.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of the data/AI industry, B2B buyer journeys, and community-led growth principles.

  • Mindset: A strategic storyteller who makes technical topics engaging, thrives in fast-paced environments, and balances creativity with measurable outcomes.

In short: You’ll shape Atlan’s voice, grow our influence, and turn social into a driver of growth, talent, and community.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
