What does a successful Senior Sales Executive (CashFlow Central) do at Fiserv?

As a global leader in financial services technology, Fiserv is driving innovation and changing the way financial services are delivered to businesses and consumers. The Digital Payment Solutions (DPS) business provides solutions to the financial services industry for electronic billing and payments, online banking and mobile banking, online funds transfer, person-to-person payments, SMB payments and personal financial account aggregation services. Our award-winning solutions are developed based on extensive user testing and are offered in multiple delivery models to serve more than 3,500 financial institutions from community banks to credit unions to the largest U.S. banks. You will partner with the Account Team (Account Executives & Relationship Managers) and will be responsible for assisting with operational and strategic needs.  In addition, the position is responsible for supporting client relationships and driving resolution to internal and external issues through influence, collaboration, and leadership behavior.  The successful Sales Executive is a self-starter, problem solver and provides clients with thought leadership tailored to their unique problems which deepens the overall partnership, while developing opportunities to sell add-on products and services through the sales cycle and into implementation.  

What you will do:

  • Requires the ability to be well organized, goal oriented, flexible and aspire to learn and grow.

  • Works under general/limited supervision to conduct, establish and plan a functional vision for assignments but typically operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

  • Delivers the value proposition and builds relationships at the C-Level of the client organization; client contact is usually at mid-management level.  Collaborates and Partners with Account Executive & Relationship Manager for account planning.

  • Helps identify opportunities for process improvements between Fiserv and assigned client base; including but not limited to cost saving and revenue generating initiatives

  • Responsible for providing clear requirements and expectations of specific client requests to our internal support teams (pricing, finance, product, professional services, etc..)

  • Participates in implementations and ensures ongoing services are delivered on time and meet client requirements by facilitating matrix team resources to ensure project timelines are met

  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships, and participates in client meetings regarding performance to ensure client satisfaction

  • Ensures that operational teams and matrixed teams maintain a clear understanding of the client's needs, and provides day-to-day client advice and support

  • Travel required - approx. 60%

What you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of sales experience in the financial services industry.

  • 8+ years of experience building and maintaining client relationships.

  • 8+ years of experience delivering value propositions and engaging with senior decision-makers.

  • Strong executive presence to influence senior decision-makers.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in SMB payments solutions.

  • 8+ years of experience in driving process improvements and identifying cost-saving initiatives.

  • 8+ years of experience working with matrixed teams to deliver client projects.

  • Aptitude for technology and analysis tools supporting financial services.

  • Previous financial services industry experience with proficiency in oral and written communication.

Salary Range:

$95,700.00-$149,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
