About the role

Chronosphere has expanded its offering to the market with the release of Chronosphere Logs, a Log Observability module on its platform. As Chronosphere penetrates the market, which well-established competitors flood, it requires high-skilled personnel to address the most complex challenges of our prospects, provide confidence to them on how we solve those challenges, and communicate to product management the significant findings from prospect engagements.

The Senior Sales Advisor for Chronosphere Logs will play a pivotal role in enabling Chronosphere’s go-to-market teams to successfully engage with high-potential prospects and customers. As a trusted expert in log observability, the Advisor addresses the most complex technical and operational challenges, instills confidence in prospects through deep product and industry knowledge, and ensures valuable field insights are relayed to product management. The mission is to accelerate adoption of Chronosphere Logs, drive successful evaluations, and influence product evolution based on market needs.

  • Customer Confidence: Positive feedback from prospects and customers on technical guidance and engagement experience.

  • Technical Leadership: Recognized internally as a go-to resource for log observability challenges.

  • Enablement Reach: Adoption of playbooks and resources across the go-to-market organization.

You Will
  • Prospect & Customer Engagement

    • Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to guide prospects through technical evaluations and proof-of-value engagements for Chronosphere Logs.

  • Understand and diagnose complex log observability challenges in customer environments, offering tailored solutions using Chronosphere’s platform.

  • Build trust with technical stakeholders by demonstrating credibility, empathy, and strategic thinking.

  • Technical Expertise & Solution Design

    • Act as a subject matter expert in log observability, ingestion pipelines, storage, and analysis at scale.

    • Design and present architecture recommendations aligned to customer needs and operational realities.

    • Advise on integration with broader observability stacks, including metrics, traces, and cloud-native environments.

  • Market Feedback & Product Influence

    • Capture and synthesize recurring challenges, feature requests, and market signals from engagements.

    • Collaborate with Product Management to shape product roadmap priorities.

    • Help refine messaging and collateral to reflect customer pain points and solution differentiation.

  • Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

    • Support internal enablement of sales, engineering, and customer-facing teams on Chronosphere Logs use cases.

    • Create and maintain technical playbooks, competitive battlecards, and engagement templates.

You Have
  • Experience:

    • 7+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, observability engineering, or related roles.

    • Hands-on experience with log management solutions (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana Loki, OpenSearch).

    • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and distributed systems monitoring.

  • Skills:

    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities for complex, large-scale observability environments.

    • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

    • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant narratives.

    • Proven track record influencing product direction through customer advocacy.

  • Mindset:

    • Customer-first mentality with a bias for action.

    • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a high-growth, competitive market.

    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity while providing clarity to others.
