Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Sales Account Executive to drive net-new business within our behavioral health and public sector verticals. This is a hunter role focused exclusively on acquiring new logos. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, targeting state and regional agency accounts, health systems, and CCBHC-affiliated organizations that are not yet Chorus customers. We're looking for someone who thrives on complex, consultative new-business sales into mission-driven, often multi-stakeholder buying environments.

What You'll Do:
  • Build and manage a pipeline of net-new state agency, regional, and behavioral health prospects from first outreach through contract close
  • Prospect and self-source new logo opportunities through outbound efforts, referrals, industry events, and partner relationships
  • Develop and execute account strategies for public sector new-business deals, including navigating procurement cycles, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder decision processes
  • Build deep knowledge of CCBHC program requirements and how Chorus's solutions map to funding models and compliance needs along with other Behavioral Health verticals
  • Partner with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to build compelling, tailored proposals for prospective clients
  • Accurately forecast new-business pipeline and bookings using CRM tools, keeping opportunity data current
  • Represent Chorus at industry conferences, state association events, and behavioral health forums to generate new pipeline
  • Collaborate with sales leadership on new-logo territory planning and quota strategy
What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of B2B new-business sales experience, ideally in healthcare, health tech, government/public sector, or behavioral health
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding new-logo acquisition quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality, comfortable building pipeline from scratch rather than working an inherited book of accounts
  • Experience selling into or working with public sector procurement processes (RFPs, state contracts) a strong plus
  • Familiarity with behavioral health, CCBHC, or community mental health funding models preferred
  • Strong consultative selling skills, able to translate program and regulatory needs into a clear value proposition
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with comfort presenting to clinical, operational, and government stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM and pipeline management tools
  • Willingness to travel for prospect meetings, conferences, and site visits as needed

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
