OVERVIEW 

The Release Manager will drive process improvement initiatives with a key focus on release management processes and standards, program management and project execution for our product releases. You will apply your technical and organizational skills to correctly capture requirements, plan for dependencies, and manage our deliverables for on time to completion.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive cross functional process improvement initiatives 
  • Own the end-to-end release cycle management (planning, execution, communications)  
  • Identify pain areas and work on improvements in Release Management 
  • Product Board SME  
  • Create and manage release plans for major and dot releases 
  • Create and manage release metrics, review with stakeholders, and request improvements 
  • Create and maintain release milestones 
  • Provide release updates to all required stakeholders 
  • Create and maintain releases in JIRA system 
  • Create and maintain release notes dashboard / update release feature updates 
  • Work with Sales, Data Management Teams, and schedule internal URL upgrades 
  • Provide project management support to the product scrum teams 
  • Help create self-organized teams that drive continuous improvement to our systems 
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment 
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) 
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous environment, meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads, and ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions 
  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences 

 CANDIDATE’S PROFILE 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred 
  • 7+ years of project management experience related to technology preferred 
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience is highly desirable 

Professional Skills 

  • Excellent, organizational, and decision-making skills  
  • Possess strong phone, written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills  
  • Confident, high energy, self-motivated and a true team player  
  • Well-organized, with a high attention to detail and ability to prioritize 

Technical Skills  

  • Experience with delivering software projects using Agile / Scrum methodologies
