Job Summary

The Senior Recruiter / Talent Lead will own full-cycle recruiting across Hawke Media, partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership to attract, assess, and hire exceptional talent across the organization.

As the primary recruiting partner for the business, this role will independently manage recruiting from intake and sourcing through interviews, offers, and close, while continuously improving the candidate and hiring manager experience.

In addition to recruiting, this role will partner with the Director of People Operations on select Talent initiatives, including employer branding, onboarding, internal mobility, employee development, and other programs that help Hawke attract, develop, and retain great people.

This is an ideal role for an experienced recruiter who enjoys being hands-on while also looking to broaden their impact across the Talent function.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition (60%)

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across a variety of functions and levels, including marketing, creative, sales, finance, operations, and leadership roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, define role requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies and build pipelines for priority, recurring, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Source, screen, interview, assess, and close qualified candidates.
  • Manage the candidate experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance, ensuring timely and thoughtful communication throughout the process.
  • Partner with hiring managers on interview design, candidate assessment, compensation recommendations, offers, and closing strategies.
  • Coach hiring managers on interviewing and selection best practices.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of recruiting trends, market conditions, and competitive talent insights.

Recruiting Operations & Strategy (20%)

  • Manage recruiting workflows and candidate pipelines within the ATS.
  • Track and communicate recruiting progress, pipeline health, and key hiring metrics to People Operations and hiring managers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Develop scalable recruiting practices that improve speed, quality, consistency, and candidate experience.
  • Manage external recruiting partners and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and company policies.

Talent & Employee Experience (20%)

  • Partner with People Operations on employer branding initiatives that strengthen Hawke's ability to attract top talent.
  • Support onboarding initiatives that create a strong transition from candidate to employee.
  • Contribute to employee development, career growth, and internal mobility initiatives.
  • Provide recruiting and talent-market insights to support workforce planning and broader People initiatives.
  • Support additional Talent programs based on organizational priorities and business needs.
Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth, or marketing agency environment. Hiring Marketing, Creative, and Business Development roles is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success independently managing recruiting across multiple functions and levels.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities and experience developing proactive talent pipelines.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Strong interviewing, assessment, negotiation, and candidate-closing skills.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems (Paycom is a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently and take initiative.
  • Interest in expanding beyond recruiting and contributing to broader Talent and People initiatives.

30 / 60 / 90 Day Success

30 Days

  • Build relationships with hiring managers and understand business and hiring priorities.
  • Take ownership of active requisitions and establish recruiting plans for priority roles.
  • Assess current pipelines, recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience.
  • Identify immediate opportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness.

60 Days

  • Build strong candidate pipelines and consistently move qualified talent through the hiring process.
  • Establish strong hiring-manager partnerships and a consistent recruiting cadence.
  • Improve sourcing, interviewing, candidate communication, and recruiting workflows where needed.
  • Begin supporting select Talent initiatives with People Operations.

90 Days

  • Demonstrate consistent delivery against hiring priorities and recruiting goals.
  • Establish proactive pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Implement improvements that make recruiting more efficient, consistent, and scalable.
  • Operate as Hawke's trusted recruiting partner while contributing to employer brand, development, internal mobility, and other Talent priorities.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
