Job Overview
While at Mainspring we are growing rapidly to scale production of our linear generators, quality is a crucial element to the success of our mission. This role is critical as we expand our fleet of linear generators and we need to accelerate the pace of learning while keeping our customers happy. You will collaborate closely with field operations and maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, and customer success teams to establish and maintain best-in-class quality practices. This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, a hands-on approach, and a passion for clean energy innovation.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert of every step of the process from manufacturing, End of Line Testing to shipping and then commissioning for customer acceptance so to integrate best quality practices
- Lead continual improvement across the entire process using Lean, Six Sigma or other proven methodologies and communicate them to the cross functional team in a structured way based on company priorities
- Develop and monitor quality metrics, ensuring customer feedback is incorporated into continuous improvement efforts
- Build and mentor a high-performing quality team including manufacturing quality and field quality to support the company’s rapid growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related
- 15+ years in Quality Management, preferably customer facing and in clean energy, manufacturing or hardware organizations (industrial and/or automotive a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge and experience with implementing APQP, PPAP and Root Cause Analysis
- Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ Certification and trainings are preferred
- The position will require up to 30% travel to customer and manufacturing sites
