About the role

Ferric Inc. is looking for an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer to join our Product Quality Engineering team! You will be working closely with our Design, Product engineering, manufacturing, customer and quality team to deliver highest reliable parts to our customers and partners.

Our team plays a significant role in shaping product quality from the concept design stages through customer deployment and continuous process improvements. The Sr Quality Engineer solves complex problems, influences cross-functional teams, and drives meaningful improvements

What you'll do

  • Partner with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams early in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to build quality and reliability into products from the early phase
  • Engaged in multiple key new product programs as quality and reliability owner
  • Engage suppliers and lead Part Qualification Process at supplier sites identifying and addressing risks within the supplier's manufacturing process
  • Drive customer complex product quality issues, drive root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support customer critical issues through resolution and root cause analysis
  • Monitor and improve supplier technical quality performance for defined KPCs by utilizing statistical quality methods like SPC, reliability statistics such as Weibull etc.
  • Drives 8D and FA projects towards a successful implementation of solutions
  • Collaborate across Business Units, Manufacturing, Product Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Engineering teams to solve high-impact product and process challenges.
  • Engage in Design reviews and Engineering Change Requests for their impact on Quality and Reliability (Q&R).
  • Use data, analytics, and statistical methods to identify trends, assess risk, improve processes, and support proactive quality decisions.
  • Guide continuous improvement efforts using Quality Management Systems (QMS), industry standards, and quality engineering best practices.
  • Perform supplier Audit, Supplier score card and drive corrective action

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of related experience, or master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in Product Quality Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong experience in product quality engineering, including product architecture, failure analysis, and reliability methodologies.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data and statistics to drive quality improvements.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and lead change across large organizations.

Preferred/Plus Skills and Experience

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar process improvement experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to different audiences.

  • Salary Range: $125,000-165,000 with competitive equity offering and benefits package.
