This role spans strategic planning, process improvement, execution, and stakeholder coordination, working hand-in-hand with internal teams and client partners. You’ll draw on your agency or consultancy experience guiding major digital transformation efforts, helping organizations operate more effectively across product, design, and engineering. We’re looking for someone who stays composed under pressure, keeps initiatives on course, and recognizes how each project connects to broader systems and platforms. Hands-on experience managing flagship initiatives and delivering cohesive digital solutions across is highly valued.

In this senior position, you’ll apply a strong understanding of agile methodologies and the software development life cycle to ensure projects are delivered with precision and quality. Acting as the bridge between business objectives and technical execution, you’ll help teams work efficiently and make informed decisions grounded in data and context. You will balance tactical oversight with strategic perspective, able to zoom in on delivery details without losing sight of long-term goals. Skilled communication and facilitation are central to your approach, enabling alignment across diverse groups and translating conversations into actionable plans, timelines, and deliverables that meet client expectations on time and within scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee complex digital projects from kickoff through delivery, coordinating all aspects of execution—from defining objectives and translating client outcomes into clear plans, to managing delivery against scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, data analysts, QA, and product managers, to ensure smooth workflows, clear communication, and successful project outcomes.
  • Guide teams through Agile and hybrid methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to maintain focus, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and manage project roadmaps, milestones, and capacity plans, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope while proactively identifying dependencies, bottlenecks, and risks.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technical and business stakeholders, helping to shape project objectives, resource allocation, and delivery priorities that align with strategic goals.
  • Partner with analytics and technical teams to inform decisions with data, support testing strategies, and validate project performance against KPIs and success metrics.
  • Ensure the integration and quality of data across platforms, fostering insights that drive optimization and measurable business value.
  • Oversee the release process across multiple platforms, coordinating production deployments, resolving blockers, and maintaining quality assurance standards.
  • Facilitate strategic workshops and discovery sessions—including requirements gathering, concepting, design reviews, and feedback cycles—to drive alignment and shared understanding across teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation and progress tracking in project management tools, ensuring deliverables and requirements are captured, communicated, and accessible to the appropriate audience.
  • Manage third-party vendors and partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs, budget expectations, and integration within the broader delivery framework.
  • Report regularly on project health, status, risks, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency with leadership, the PMO, and client stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative, one-team culture by monitoring team morale, encouraging continuous learning, and supporting the adoption of new tools and methodologies that enhance delivery efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of experience leading complex, end-to-end digital programs in an agency, consultancy, or professional services environment—ideally for global or enterprise clients—with a proven record of launching flagship high-profile digital platforms.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager supporting digital initiatives, demonstrating the ability to navigate technical complexity, stakeholder visibility, and high expectations around performance, reliability, and delivery.
  • Strong foundation in digital project management, including ownership of timelines, budgets, scope, and delivery across digital applications, with an ability to adapt to evolving client and business needs.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid). Agile or Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) are an asset.
  • Experienced in facilitating cross-functional collaboration between technical, design, data, and business teams—aligning priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Known for a strong, energetic leadership presence—able to motivate teams, influence decisions, and maintain focus under pressure while modeling professionalism, empathy, and composure.
  • Highly emotionally intelligent and adaptable, able to assess team dynamics, anticipate challenges, and adjust communication styles to ensure alignment and trust across client and internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled in facilitation and stakeholder management, from sprint ceremonies to executive reviews, translating discussions into actionable delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Technically fluent, with the ability to engage credibly on topics including AI, data analytics, cloud architecture, and platform integrations, and to leverage analytics for data-informed decision-making.
  • Experience managing headless or composable platform implementations across eCommerce, CMS, loyalty, and personalization systems (e.g., CommerceTools, Contentful, Talon. One, Auth0, Segment, etc.).
  • Adept at vendor and partner management, including defining scopes, budgets, and SLAs, while ensuring accountability and integration within larger delivery efforts.
  • Proficient in project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Notion, Smartsheet, and Google Suite; hands-on experience managing Jira development boards preferred.
  • Skilled in tracking and reporting KPIs and performance metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
  • Strong relationship builder who can partner confidently with Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders, balancing diplomacy with clear communication and sound judgment.
  • A servant leader with curiosity, resilience, and a can-do attitude—committed to fostering team success, growth, and a positive, one-team culture.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
