Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Energy Efficiency department to manage and support large or complex utility midstream incentive programs. This role manages client meetings, partners with utility or public-sector stakeholders, manages an internal program implementation team, optimizes program implementation operations for effectiveness, efficiency, and quality control, and advises internal stakeholders on program performance metrics. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Manage and oversee large-scale, complex demand side management programs from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities 
  • Execute and adapt program implementation approaches in response to evolving market conditions, stakeholder needs, and operational constraints 
  • Manage day-to-day program delivery, track timelines, and quality standards and escalates issues to leadership as appropriate 
  • Contribute to the development of multi-year program strategies and annual workplans to optimize program performance, market participation, and energy savings outcomes 
  • Coordinate cross-functional program implementation teams, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and expectations 
  • Coach and guide team members to ensure high-quality deliverables, effective workload management, and professional development 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., analytics, operations, finance, compliance) to align integrated program execution 
  • Serve as the primary client-facing project contact, managing ongoing relationships with utility, utility program administrator, or public-sector clients 
  • Resolve complex client issues independently, escalating when appropriate, while maintaining strong client trust and satisfaction 
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with contractual and organizational requirements 
  • Track and report on established KPIs and performance metrics, surfacing data insights for review and discussion with leadership 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client contracts, and internal policies 
  • Assess and mitigate program risks and implement corrective actions as needed 
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards 

 

Minimum Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field  
  • 8 years of relevant experience of progressively responsible experience managing complex programs or projects, within energy efficiency, utilities, sustainability, or a regulated industry 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including complex data analysis, reporting, and presentation development 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze program data, budgets, and performance metrics to inform strategic and operational decisions 
  • Strong understanding of project and program management principles, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality control 
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives independently, exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and balance competing priorities effectively 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with clients, internal stakeholders, and senior staff 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively utilize internal systems, databases, and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Slack)   

The salary range for this role is $92,000 - $125,000 with a target compensation of $92,000 - $106,250 based on experience and qualifications. 

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
