Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)/Space Mission Systems (SMS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join Boeing's Common Products Group in El Segundo, California, in direct support of Government and Commercial Spacecraft Products.
The Common Products portfolio consists of Satellite Payload & Platform Subsystems. The CAM IPT Lead will manage daily project execution for Antenna Subsystems and Passive Microwave Devices programs; perform estimates at completion, coordinate and communicate with all required functions & suppliers from early program proposal through final flight delivery; delivering subsystem hardware to the factory floor on-time & within budget
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies
  • Apply willingness to stretch beyond their experience base and to take risks to achieve objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in program or project management
  • 1+ year of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Worked in a role that required you to make calculated risks in a dynamic & fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with satellite antenna subsystems, and the antenna subsystem lifecycle: design, analysis, manufacturing, procurements, and assembly, integration, and test
  • Experience with passive microwave devices in a space environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Engineering Field
  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of and experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
Level 5: $156,400 - $211,600
