About you and this role:

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Stewardship Specialist. This position can be located in Midland, MI, Freeport, TX, Houston, TX, Collegeville, PA, or any Dow Hub Location within the United States.

As an Enterprise Product Steward within the Product Safety Operations group, you will provide global run-the-business Product Stewardship (PSS) support for the Personal Care portfolio within the Dow Consumer Solutions Business.  In this role you will work in close collaboration with the respective Business Product Steward to ensure product regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Gains full knowledge of product stewardship practices within the business and uses this expertise to develop EH&S solutions 
• Gains a thorough understanding of product hazards, product end-use applications (both supported and not supported) and existing product risk characterizations
• Maintains Risk Based Characterization tiers through regular reviews
• Reviews and approves Safety Data Sheets (SDS)/labels; develops and maintains a job aid for these reviews.
• Reviews and approves Product Material Requests (PMR) for New Product, Update Product, New Raw Materials; New Vendor and Raw Material updates.
• Reviews raw material suppliers and product formulations materials for regulatory compliance
• Ensure Product and Raw Material Data integrity
• Collaborates with the biz. Product Stewards and the Composition Specialists in the review and approval of product standard compositions
• Provides market specific support via developing new standard responses for customer inquiries and reviewing/approving product literature to ensure contains appropriate EH&S content.
• Supports regulatory compliance activities (e.g. coordinating Regulatory Data Sheet (RDS) creation and updates, product certifications, product regulatory reports, etc.)
• Identifies and reports events that qualify for the Product Stewardship Metric
• Delivers Product Stewardship training to internal and external audiences
• Identifies opportunities for work process improvements, digitalization and automation

Your Skills:

• Regulatory Requirements: Understanding and applying relevant laws, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Communication: Clearly conveying information and ideas through verbal, written, and visual means.
• Product Stewardship: Managing the health, safety, and environmental aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle to minimize risk and ensure sustainability.
• Interpersonal Collaboration: Working cooperatively with others across functions and teams to achieve shared goals and foster a positive work environment.
• Problem Solving: Identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions to overcome challenges and improve outcomes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a science related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years relevant experience required.
• SAP and/or PowerBI experience is an advantage.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
