Create motion design for web and mobile experiences, collaborating with designers and developers to enhance product UI with animation and imagery.
The product design team turns complex problems into simple, elegant, and engaging customer journeys for web and mobile experiences. The team is responsible for design at each stage of the project - from user research and wireframes to final visual specifications
About the role:
As a Senior Motion Designer you’ll work closely with product designers, graphic designers, and 3D designers to create stunning motion and imagery used across Crypto.com products and web surfaces. As part of a small visual team, you’ll have tremendous influence on the visual identity of services used by millions of people around the world.
You work with ambiguity and can turn abstract ideas into concepts and creative and tangible deliverables. You work with a high level of craft and attention to detail, while connecting your work to a broader vision. Your passion for the arts and design is shared through inspiration and your work, elevating the team's visual proficiency and vice-versa.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and propose new opportunities to bring motion into the app experience and website
- Apply motion design to all levels of a product, from UI micro-interactions, charts and data, to icons and illustrations
- Expanding existing or static assets to bring them to life
- Assess the right tool for the right job, and fluently jump between them
- Building files in a simple and clear way that can be shared easily
- Build a workflow to support balancing multiple workstreams and projects
- Collaborate and communicate with different teams, developing concepts, presenting work, managing timelines, and collecting feedback
- Work with developers to implement animation and motion faithfully
Requirements:
- 5+ years working as a professional motion designer
- Interest and understanding of contemporary visual culture
- Principled understanding of what makes great animation
- Mastery of After Effects
- Familiarity with modern tools like Cavalry, Rive, and web-based animation (GSAP, CSS, etc)
- Familiarity with the Adobe suite
- Experience using LottieFiles and preparing animations for developers
- Understanding of Figma fundamentals
