About Cerby

We are crafting Cerby's narrative. The job now is getting it into the hands of the people who tell that story, which are our GTM team and our partners. We need a Senior Product Marketing Manager who can turn that narrative into materials that clearly explain what Cerby does, why we are different, and why buyers should care, and who can help take new technical products and capabilities to market. Someone who makes sure every rep and every partner can tell the story well enough that an Identity leader can repeat it to their CISO.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You build things yourself. The decks, the talk tracks, the partner kits, and sit in on deal reviews. You make Sales, Product, Partner, and Marketing tell one story. If you want a seat where you shape how an emerging category in identity security gets understood, at a Series B company selling into enterprise security and identity buyers, this is the place to be.

This role is not about producing content nobody uses, working in a silo. The metrics we care about are win rates, sales cycle length, asset usage in live deals, and pipeline influenced by launches and sales plays.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with the CMO to shape Cerby's positioning and messaging, then translate it for each persona and use case, and keep it defensible under technical scrutiny
  • Be a storyteller. Turn complex identity problems into narratives that land with skeptical technical buyers and the executives who sign
  • Work side by side with AEs and SEs. This means joining calls, hearing objections firsthand, spotting where deals stall, and fixing it with talk tracks, battle cards, and demo flows reps actually use
  • Build the sales toolkit from the ground up: pitch deck, discovery guide, objection handling, competitive battlecards, and ROI and business case tools buyers use to justify the purchase
  • Own win/loss and competitive intelligence. Know why we win, why we lose, and why customers stay, and turn it into sharper messaging, targeting, and ICP refinement
  • Run product and feature launches end to end with Product, from narrative to field readiness, so Sales and partners can sell it on day one
  • Be a voice of Cerby: deliver webinars, content, and event sessions with clarity and confidence
  • Turn customers into proof. Build case studies, reference stories, and quantified outcomes with the customers already getting value from Cerby
  • Build partner kits and enablement, working with partner marketing, so partners can position Cerby, run a first call, and know when to bring us in
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS product marketing with a track record of taking technical products to market, ideally in cybersecurity, identity, or enterprise infrastructure
  • Proven builder as an IC: you have personally shipped messaging frameworks, launches, and sales toolkits, not just managed someone who did
  • A storyteller first. You can take an architecture conversation and turn it into a compelling story both a CISO and a practitioner buy. You write well and present even better
  • Sales trusts you. You have spent real time in live deals, you communicate clearly and fast, and reps come to you, not around you
  • Technical depth: you know Cyber (ideally in Identity) well enough to hold your own with SEs. You don't need to be an engineer, but you speak the language
  • Operates lean and fast: MVP mindset, ship and learn, no big-company process theater
  • Bonus: experience building product marketing at an early-stage tech startup

What Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Every rep tells the same Cerby story in every deal, and nobody is improvising positioning
  • Sales assets are used in live deals, and you can show which ones move deals forward
  • Deep competitive intel that is updated as the space evolves
  • Battle cards stay current, and reps use them to win head-to-head deals
  • Every product launch ships with a narrative and enablement materials for the field and partners to sell immediately
  • Win rates improve, and buyers repeat our story back to us in discovery calls

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
