Overview

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will own the performance and growth of a LegalZoom business line, driving acquisition strategy, shaping positioning, and delivering revenue results. Senior PMMs at LegalZoom operate with broad business ownership across a defined product portfolio, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to drive outcomes. You are the connective tissue between product, marketing, and the customer: you understand the competitive landscape deeply, own the end-to-end customer journey from first touch through long-term retention, and translate market intelligence into go-to-market strategies that win. You are equally comfortable developing pricing strategy rooted in behavioral economics as you are building AI agents to scale how the PMM team operates. You are creative, strategic, and analytically rigorous, with a track record of delivering measurable business impact.

You will

  • Own performance across your portfolio by building marketing roadmaps, monitoring performance, and developing action plans that respond to business trends and results

  • Lead the end-to-end customer journey by mapping key milestones, identifying friction points, and partnering with Product and Channel Marketing to drive retention and long-term value

  • Establish positioning, packaging, and pricing for your business portfolio of products

  • Drive commercialization, campaign, and cross-sell opportunities

  • Develop go-to-market strategies to support product and feature launches

  • Understand the competitive landscape – be an expert on our competition and how they position themselves with commercialization, claims, messaging, and product journeys

  • Influence product strategy, testing, research and content roadmaps to optimize our position

  • Support market research projects for your portfolio to better understand the market and gather intelligence to help inform pricing, product features and benefits, and messaging

  • Create and optimize claims and messaging that will resonate with prospective customers

  • Work with Marketing, Product Management, UX/Creative, Sales, Customer Care, PR, Engineering, Legal, Business Development to ensure a great customer experience

  • Build AI agents and automated workflows in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or AirOps to streamline PMM tasks and scale the team's research, analysis, and go-to-market operations

You have

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 4 years specifically in Product Marketing

  • Experience with direct revenue accountability and a track record of hitting growth targets

  • Experience driving nationwide campaigns, GTM initiatives, and performance marketing

  • Ability to apply consumer insights, research, and testing to drive world-class strategy

  • Experience developing pricing strategies, leveraging behavioral economics principles (asymmetric dominance, anchoring, and decoy pricing)

  • Experience with A/B testing, tracking and interpreting results, and recommending next steps

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), comfortable presenting to executives

  • Experience building AI agents and automated workflows using Claude or similar tools

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or higher degree preferred

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
