Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Product and Customer Marketing, we are looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed Senior Product Marketing Manager to own a critical product area and shape how we bring it to market.

This is an expert-level role for a PMM who has mastered the fundamentals and is ready to operate at a higher altitude -- shaping strategic narrative, advising cross-functional leadership, and elevating the entire team's output. You will own the product-market fit story for your area, influence revenue strategy, and build the frameworks and programs that scale beyond yourself. The ideal candidate brings sharp market intuition, a track record of impactful launches, and the credibility to walk into a room with Sales, Product, or the executive team and drive the conversation. You know how to use AI, not as a shortcut, but as a strategic lever that makes your programs smarter and your team more scalable.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Narrative and Positioning: Shape and evangelize the strategic narrative for your product or solution area -- connecting market trends, customer pain points, and competitive gaps to company-level positioning and long-term vision. You are not just telling the story; you are writing it.

  • Messaging Frameworks and Scalable PMM Systems: Build frameworks for scalable messaging development that enable other PMMs and cross-functional teams to align on differentiated value propositions, proof points, and market readiness. You raise the bar for the whole team.

  • AI-Powered Intelligence and Workflow Design: Leverage AI tools to design scalable, repeatable intelligence workflows — from synthesizing Gong call data and competitive signals into executive-ready insights, to building content pipelines that extend PMM bandwidth. At this level, you're not just using AI to work faster; you're thinking architecturally about how it integrates into your product area's GTM motion.

  • Customer Segmentation and Persona Leadership: Lead cross-functional customer segmentation and persona evolution -- ensuring precision across all buyer stages and influencing how the business targets and speaks to ideal customer profiles.

  • GTM Strategy and Launch Leadership: Own end-to-end GTM strategy for your product area -- from positioning and launch sequencing to sales readiness and market measurement. Proactively align stakeholders across Sales, Product, Enablement, and CS around shared goals, ensuring launches land with clarity and consistency.

  • Executive Influence and Strategic Synthesis: Translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling stories that influence revenue strategy, pricing and packaging, and customer lifecycle programs -- anchored in data, feedback, and voice of customer. Serve as the go-to expert on product-market fit, frequently consulted by Sales, Product, and Leadership on GTM decisions, product direction, and customer impact.

  • Market and Competitive Intelligence: Anticipate shifts in the market landscape and proactively recommend messaging, GTM, or product adaptations that align with future customer and business needs. Connect product marketing outcomes to enterprise KPIs -- revenue, retention, and brand equity. Use AI-assisted research and synthesis tools to maintain a continuous, real-time pulse on the market -- not just a quarterly snapshot.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Build trust and alignment across functions by fostering open communication, surfacing friction points early, and navigating cross-functional priorities with empathy and transparency. Lead high-pressure, cross-team initiatives -- modeling calm decision-making, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindset in ambiguity.

  • Mentorship and Team Elevation: Mentor and uplift others across the marketing and product orgs, sharing expertise generously and raising the bar for collaboration and execution. Help the team operate at the next level.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience, including time in a senior or lead contributor role

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS company -- ideally with complex products, multiple buyer personas, or platform/suite positioning

  • Proven track record of owning and executing full-cycle, multi-stakeholder product launches

  • Strong strategic instincts with the ability to connect product capabilities to business outcomes, revenue strategy, and competitive positioning

  • Demonstrated ability to build messaging frameworks -- not just execute against existing ones

  • Executive presence and communication skills -- comfortable presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior Sales leadership

  • Strong cross-functional instincts -- knows how to align Product, Sales, Enablement, and CS without formal authority

  • Proficiency with tools including Gong, Salesforce, Seismic, and Tableau

  • Track record of mentoring others and raising the floor on team performance

  • Bachelor's degree required

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
