About Schneider Innovations

Schneider Innovations is a U.S.-based brand group focused on Health and Safety–oriented products, with established businesses across medical consumables, personal protective equipment, and related healthcare categories. We operate a multi-brand portfolio serving both consumer and institutional markets in North America and Europe, supported by mature capabilities in manufacturing, global supply chain, quality systems, and multi-channel commercialization.

Building on this foundation, Schneider Innovations is expanding into emerging IoT systems that combine hardware, software, and ongoing services, extending our core Health and Safety principles into adjacent domains. These initiatives are early-stage and system-driven, emphasizing careful judgment around scope, complexity, and long-term viability. Over time, this work may span multiple IoT applications, including areas adjacent to or overlapping with regulated health-focused systems.

Location: Monrovia, California

This role is based in Monrovia, CA, a safe, welcoming, and highly livable city located in the San Gabriel Valley, just east of Los Angeles.

Monrovia is adjacent to well-known communities such as Arcadia, Temple City, San Gabriel, San Marino, and Pasadena, offering convenient access to vibrant Chinese-speaking communities, Asian supermarkets, restaurants, shopping centers, and cultural amenities. Compared with many parts of Northern and coastal Southern California, the area offers a more affordable cost of living, particularly in housing, while maintaining a high quality of life, strong public safety, and everyday convenience.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own system-level market and product judgment for complex and high-risk product initiatives.

This role exists to bring early clarity to product decisions that involve significant uncertainty and downstream cost. The focus is not on execution volume, but on determining whether a system should be built, how it should be scoped or simplified, and when assumptions no longer justify continued investment.

This is a senior role with meaningful influence across product direction, portfolio decisions, and leadership discussions. Currently this role reports directly to CEO.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own system-level market and product judgment for complex or high-risk product initiatives across the full lifecycle, from early concept through post-launch learning
  • Identify and validate critical assumptions around user behavior, willingness to pay, experience complexity, and long-term value
  • Evaluate trade-offs across user value, system complexity, technical constraints, cost structure, and lifetime economics, and provide clear Go / Pivot / Stop recommendations
  • Assess products as end-to-end systems, identifying experience breakpoints that materially impact adoption, retention, support burden, and returns
  • Build and pressure-test LTV and unit economics to inform product scope, pricing logic, monetization structure, and lifecycle decisions
  • Define go-to-market direction for complex launches, including target segments, channel priorities, and success metrics, with clarity on who the product is for—and who it is not for
  • Translate launch and early usage learnings into recommendations for iteration, simplification, repositioning, or exit
  • Act as a senior market and user voice in product and leadership decision forums
  • Partner with Product Management, R&D, and Operations to align system scope and downstream execution with validated assumptions
  • Influence decisions through clarity, evidence, and structured judgment rather than authority
How Success Is Measured

This role is evaluated on decision quality and downstream impact, not simply volume of activity.

Indicators of success include:

  • Complex product systems are validated, simplified, or stopped early, rather than corrected late
  • Product scope and system complexity are intentionally designed around real user value and LTV
  • Clear, defensible positioning for complex products and systems
  • Measurable improvements in early usage signals (e.g., setup completion, return rates, support tickets per unit, early retention)
  • Strong alignment across Product, R&D, Operations, and leadership, with reduced reliance on ad-hoc executive judgment

RequirementsQualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, or closely related roles
  • Experience working with complex, system-level products (smart devices, hardware + software, regulated or high-cost products preferred)
  • Proven ability to influence high-stakes product decisions under uncertainty
  • Demonstrated experience making or contributing to difficult product trade-offs, including scope reduction, simplification, or stopping initiatives

Skills & Ways of Working

  • Strong system-level judgment and comfort operating with incomplete information
  • Ability to identify critical assumptions and design practical validation paths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for executive-level decision-making
  • Comfort challenging momentum and surfacing risks early
  • Ability to connect user experience, system complexity, and lifetime economics
  • Structured thinker who produces decision-ready inputs and uses analytical or AI tools to support scenario comparison, stress testing, and trade-off analysis
AI Tools & Augmented Decision-Making
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools as part of daily work, including market research, competitive analysis, and insight synthesis
  • Able to apply AI tools to structure thinking, explore alternative hypotheses, and pressure-test product and market assumptions
  • Experience building repeatable AI-assisted workflows to improve research depth, speed, and decision quality is a strong plus
Language
  • Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) is required
  • This role works closely with China-based product, operations, and supply-chain teams. Clear Chinese communication for documentation, alignment, and execution is a core requirement.

BenefitsWhat We Offer
  • Competitive starting base salary with upside based on scope and experience
  • Performance-based bonus tied to scope, decision quality and revenue impact
  • Comprehensive health benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, FSA, HSA, etc.)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Tenure-based PTO and holidays
  • Employee discounts on company products
  • Potential business travel opportunities to China and Asia regions
  • Visa sponsorship opportunities, including H-1B and employment-based Green Card sponsorship, for qualified candidates
How We Work

We prioritize early clarity over late correction, especially for complex products.

That means:

  • Market and user judgment shapes decisions before execution begins
  • Disagreement is healthy when grounded in evidence and clear reasoning
  • Impact and judgment matter more than visibility or activity volume

You will have:

  • Real influence over product direction and system-level decisions
  • Direct access to leadership and product decision forums
  • Responsibility proportional to impact, not title
Growth & Career Path

This role represents senior market ownership for core products within the organization.

Strong performers may grow into:

  • Principal or Lead Product Marketing roles
  • Portfolio-level ownership across product lines
  • Broader product or commercial leadership positions
  • Potential to advance to executive level after consistently proven successful track records

Growth is driven by judgment quality, learning velocity, and impact — not tenure.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
