Why You Should Join Us

Plaud is building the next generation intelligence infrastructure and interfaces to capture, extract, and utilize intelligence from what people say, hear, see, and think.

  • Plaud is a bootstrapped, skyrocketing, profitable company with a $250M revenue run rate achieved in just three years.

  • Define the next-gen paradigm for human-AI interaction.

  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge AI for Pro tools and play a direct role in our global expansion.

  • Work with passionate teammates who value innovation, collaboration, and customer success.

  • Grow your career in a culture that champions continuous learning and fast career development.

  • Market-competitive compensation, global exposure, and a vibrant, creativity-fueled work atmosphere.

Plaud is building the AI-native workspace for professionals, spanning hardware, software, and AI. We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who is equal parts strategist, translator, and writer. This means someone who deeply understands how AI products work under the hood and can distill that complexity into messaging that feels simple, human, and focused on value.

You won't hand a message house to a copywriter, you'll own the full arc from positioning strategy for the Americas region through the final published word, ensuring everything we ship is sharp, benefit-led, and jargon-free.

What you will do

  • Own product messaging for the Americas end-to-end — from value propositions, positioning, and message houses through to final copy on pages, key channels, and campaigns — ensuring a single, coherent voice with no strategy-to-copy handoff gap

  • Translate AI and hardware capabilities into clear user value: turn model capabilities, specs, and technical nuances into benefit-led messaging with accurate proof points, in close partnership with Product and R&D

  • Act as the "translator" between engineering and users — pressure-test technical claims, understand product mechanics deeply enough to simplify them without distorting them, and replace AI jargon with language real users actually say

  • Define hero workflows that unify the Plaud experience across device, software, and AI, and translate them into user stories, demo narratives, and core messaging

  • Set and uphold the quality bar for simplicity and human tone across all Americas content, down to word-level choices

  • Adapt global messaging for Americas audiences, channels, and competitive context

  • Write and deliver launch-ready assets in partnership with Creative, including product and landing pages, PDP and Amazon content, comparison charts, onboarding copy, feature explainers, blogs, video scripts, and campaign copy

  • Lead go-to-market storytelling and execution for device launches and major product releases, including launch briefs, messaging kits, FAQs, and rollout plans

  • Enable Sales, Marketing, Support, and regional/global teams with product training, enablement decks, and internal briefs

  • Use user feedback, product data, and competitive insight to continuously refine positioning, differentiation, and messaging quality

Skills, qualifications and experience we look for

  • 7+ years in product marketing, content strategy, or equivalent, with hands-on experience marketing AI products (AI-native software, LLM-powered tools, or AI hardware strongly preferred)

  • A technical foundation — an engineering or computer science background, or equivalent hands-on technical depth (e.g., shipping products alongside engineering teams, building with LLM APIs) — sufficient to genuinely understand product mechanics before simplifying them

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex AI and technical capabilities into simple, accessible, human language; you'll be asked to share writing samples that show this

  • End-to-end messaging ownership: proven ability to run the full stack from strategic positioning and message house development through polished final copy, combining the PMM, content, and copywriting crafts in one person

  • Exceptional writing: clarity, hierarchy, audience fit, and word-level precision, including hardware details

  • Strong execution — able to ship high-quality assets quickly across multiple work streams

  • Daily fluency with AI tools in your own workflow to improve efficiency and content quality

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take work from 0 to 1 and turn ambiguity into clear ideas

  • Experience working closely with global and regional teams to bring highly cross-functional work to life

  • Data-informed mindset that synthesizes product data, user insights, and competitive intelligence into messaging improvements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

What we offer

  • Founding Team: Opportunity to join the founding team of this new initiative, with meaningful ownership and impact on a fast-growing startup.

  • Competitive Compensation: $145K-$215K base salary+performance bonus+Equity.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Top-tier healthcare for employees and dependents, including dental and vision, and a generous employer subsidy.

  • Retirement Planning: 401(k) plan for full time employees with company matching.

  • Paid Time Off: Unlimited PTO, plus 13 paid holidays.

  • New Parent Leave: 12 weeks of paid time off to spend time with your new family, regardless of gender.

  • Hybrid Office: Minimum of 3x in office per week.

  • Gear: New hires are equipped with their choice of new top-of-the-line laptops and workstation setups.

  • Perks: Best office equipment. Annual offsites. Free office drinks and snacks. Commuter Benefits.
Plaud is and will continue to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or other applicable legally protected characteristics..

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
