About the Role:
CloudZero is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve a core product area within our FinOps and cloud cost intelligence platform. This role is equally balanced between technical depth and customer focus, and is ideal for a PM who built credibility in another discipline - such as engineering, finance, DevOps, product marketing, sales engineering, or TAM - before moving into product management.

You will operate in an enterprise, direct sales environment, working closely with engineering, experience design, sales, marketing, and customer teams. Success in this role requires strong product judgment, technical fluency, and an exceptional ability to gather and synthesize market intelligence from both customers and non-customer potential users.

What You Bring:

  • 3–4+ years of experience as a Product Manager building and scaling B2B SaaS products.

  • Prior depth in a complementary discipline before product management, such as Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management (TAM), or Finance / DevOps / Cloud Operations.

  • Experience owning products in data-intensive or technically complex domains, including analytics, AI/ML-enabled products, observability, cloud infrastructure, or platform tooling.

  • Background working on UI-heavy products, such as dashboards, developer tools, IDEs, or visualization-rich applications.

  • Full-stack product management experience across the customer lifecycle, including:

  • Pre-sales: enterprise demos, customer conversations, roadmap discussions

  • Post-sales: customer feedback loops, adoption, retention, and expansion

  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to clearly communicate rationale, tradeoffs, and customer impact.

  • Ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into intuitive, customer-facing experiences.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a product area from problem discovery through delivery, with a track record of shipping meaningful outcomes.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, DevOps, or financial systems.

  • Familiarity with modern cloud data stacks (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure billing data, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines).

  • Experience partnering closely with platform or infrastructure engineering teams.

  • Comfort analyzing product usage data and telemetry; ability to write basic SQL queries or work with DevOps / SRE tooling is a plus.

  • Experience supporting enterprise or highly technical customers.

  • Exposure to pricing, packaging, or value-metric decisions in a SaaS environment.

  • Background in cloud-native, developer-focused, or infrastructure-oriented products.

Please note: CloudZero is unable to sponsor employment visas. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
