About the TeamJoin our MongoDB Search product team, collaborating closely with product design, engineering, analytics, marketing, and user research professionals. Our mission is to drive long-term growth for MongoDB Search, focusing on an exceptional end-to-end developer experience for those looking to adopt our product. As a valued team member, you'll delve into customer challenges, formulate hypotheses, and validate them with innovative solutions. Success in this role involves consistently identifying opportunities to integrate MongoDB into user and company workflows worldwide.
This role will be based remotely in the United States
Role Responsibilities- Deeply understanding the developer experience for MongoDB Search, understanding how users get started, test and implement CI/CD, and move into production. Overseeing our strategy for best practices in development and running early access programs for new features in this space, balancing customer needs and business priorities
- Partnering with Product Design and Product Analytics to understand the end to end user journey, identifying opportunities to influence the funnel, and determine experimentation strategy
- Partnering with documentation, growth marketing, and developer relations to improve customers learning journey and extend our impact
- Partnering with product operations to improve our product feedback loop with the field and operationalizing our customer outreach
- Work closely with the rest of the MongoDB Search product team to provide input and contribute to the long-term vision of our product in support of our goals
- Identify user needs and pains, barriers to adoption, and business opportunities through a combination of research, feedback collection, and competitive analyses
- Drive execution of these opportunities end-to-end
- You have 5 years of product management experience, with 2-3 of those years in a “Growth”-like role
- You have direct experience running experiments (A/B tests, MABs, Card-sorting, etc.) and deep understanding of common product-led growth frameworks for activation and engagement
- You love getting lost in the numbers, but you know they don’t tell the full story. You recognize that extensive customer understanding is an important part of the product process.
- You have the ability to collaborate with people from different parts of the company to ensure that your product-led thinking drives real business impact
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical content to diverse non-technical audiences
- You have experience with the full product development process: ideation, research, creation, design, execution, quality testing, etc.
- You know that developing great products isn’t just about shipping the feature, but thinking about all the outside interactions the user has as well (documentation, support, forums, blogs, etc.)
- You have desire to understand search technologies and developer implementation lifecycle
- Experience with Search technologies or working on products with a developer persona
- Strong technical background (degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, coursework or certifications in coding)

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
