About Us

AfterShip, a Great Place to Work Certified company, is transforming the global eCommerce landscape. Our mission is to empower retailers to create the world’s best online shopping experiences, from post-purchase and beyond.

We’ve powered more than 8 billion shipments for over 20,000 leading brands including Samsung, Gymshark, Mejuri, and TOMS. Our AI-driven post-purchase solutions span shipment tracking, returns management, personalized product discovery, and delivery predictions with industry-leading accuracy.

Backed by a $66M Series B and over a decade of innovation, we’re accelerating growth and defining the future of the post-purchase experience. With 450+ team members across the globe, we’re building a diverse, collaborative culture that encourages agility, ownership, and impact.

Your Mission:

As our Senior Product Manager, Mobile, you will transform AfterShip’s mobile app, serving millions of monthly active users into the world’s most intelligent post-purchase experience platform. As the single-threaded owner, you will define the strategic vision and drive execution of data-driven and AI-powered innovations that turn order tracking into a proactive experience, creating value for both customers and brands.
Reporting to the Head of Product (Omnichannel), you will work closely with Engineering (R&D), Design, QA, Product Marketing, and Algorithm teams (data scientists/ML engineers) to build products that anticipate customer needs and reduce delivery friction.

This US-based, remote role requires frequent work during APAC hours to collaborate with distributed teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution of AfterShip’s mobile app, driving growth, engagement, and retention for millions of monthly active users.
  • Define and deliver a product vision focused on data-driven and AI-powered post-purchase experiences, translating insights into actionable requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Partner with User Research, Design, Engineering, QA, and Algorithm teams to create intuitive, high-quality mobile experiences that delight users and drive feature adoption.
  • Use metrics, A/B testing, and KPIs to inform decisions, measure impact, and optimize the product iteratively while building toward a long-term roadmap.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, championing the voice of the customer.
  • Deliver measurable success in user growth, retention, feature adoption, app store ratings, and business impact, while aligning teams around shared goals and validating a multi-year product vision.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 5–8 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on mobile apps (iOS/Android).
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling consumer-facing mobile products with large user bases (500K+ MAU preferred).
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of the mobile app development lifecycle, platform constraints, and app store optimization.
  • Experience designing and delivering AI/ML-powered features in consumer products.
  • Proficiency with mobile analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase) and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset with ability to translate user insights into compelling product experiences.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills for diverse audiences (engineers to executives).
  • Flexibility to accommodate cross-timezone meetings (flexibility working during APAC timezones).

At AfterShip, we know great talent doesn’t always fit every requirement. If you’re passionate about our mission and believe you can make an impact, we encourage you to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
