Job Title: Product Manager – Software Platform & Mobile (Logistics & AI Focus)About the Role

We are looking for a rigorous, data-driven, and software-focused Product Manager to own the lifecycle of our core software platform and mobile applications. You will not just manage a backlog; you will be the guardian of product quality and the driver of our AI strategy.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in the world of Air Cargo and Logistics, identifying the most critical pain points for our customers and field teams. You will translate those needs into flawless software features, leveraging AI to drive tangible value and increase company valuation. If you believe a product isn't "done" until it works perfectly in the customer’s hands, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Prioritization & Roadmap Management

  • Evaluate Market Needs: Conduct deep discovery to understand the evolving landscape of logistics and air cargo.

  • ROI-Based Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize the product backlog based on Return on Investment (ROI), strategic impact, and technical platform fit. Ensure every feature built drives business outcomes.

  • AI Innovation: Develop and champion AI-driven use cases that solve complex logistical problems, driving direct value for customers and enhancing the company's long-term valuation.

2. Product Ownership & Uncompromising Quality

  • Zero-Bug Mentality: Take full ownership of the product's quality. You are the final gatekeeper before release. Champion a culture where we ship with zero known bugs.

  • Use Case & Test Case Definition: Move beyond simple user stories. Develop comprehensive use cases and detailed acceptance test cases to anticipate edge cases and prevent surprises during development and deployment.

  • Platform & Mobile Focus: Manage the end-to-end experience across our core web platform and mobile applications for field teams.

3. Customer Empathy & Industry Expertise

  • Field Immersion: Spend time "in the trenches" with field teams and customers to learn their greatest pain points firsthand.

  • Industry Trends: Become an expert in Air Cargo and Logistics trends. Translate industry shifts into software requirements that keep us ahead of the competition.

  • Feedback Loop: Create structured loops to gather feedback from the field, ensuring our mobile apps resolve actual on-the-ground friction.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

    • Preferred: Master of Business Administration (MBA).

  • Technical Background:

    • 2+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Developer. You must have written production code in the past to effectively manage quality, understand technical debt, and lead architecture discussions.

  • Product Experience:

    • 4+ years of Product Management experience, with a specific focus on Enterprise Software and Mobile Applications. You must demonstrate experience managing the full lifecycle of complex B2B platforms and field-level mobile apps.

  • Quality & Rigor:

    • Proven ability to write comprehensive Use Cases and Test Cases. You must demonstrate a history of shipping products with high stability and "zero-bug" standards.

  • Business & AI Strategy:

    • Ability to evaluate ROI and prioritize features based on business impact and company valuation.

    • Experience or strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and how to apply them to create tangible business value (e.g., automation, predictive modeling).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
