About Omnidian
Omnidian, Inc. is a fast-growing Series C tech-enabled service company revolutionizing performance assurance for the distributed solar and energy storage industries.  Omnidian is building a more sustainable future for the planet through our passionate teams, our innovative technology, and by creating an amazing customer experience. We are a certified B Corp, headquartered in Seattle, WA

The Job

As the interim Senior Product Manager for our Commercial business line, you will be the primary product leader responsible for scaling our footprint in the Commercial & Industrial solar and energy storage market. Your primary focus will be on our Battery Energy Storage products and Small Commercial segment. Reporting to the Director of Business Product, you will lead problem identification, business case, and concept development for Commercial products. You will also be responsible for Monthly Business Reviews tracking the status and progress of Commercial Business Line health.

This is a short-term but high-impact role that requires a balance of strategic vision, technical depth, and a relentless focus on solving core customer problems. We are looking for a product leader who thinks in systems and scale rather than just features.

This position will last up to four months while our current Product Manager is on leave.

What You'll Do

At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Commercial Product Management: Own the product roadmap and execution for our TPO business line, ensuring our technology + service offering provides maximum value to TPO providers and financing partners.

  • Battery Energy Storage Technical Asset Management: Drive development of sophisticated BESS monitoring & servicing capabilities

  • Adjacent Market Discovery: Identify and evaluate opportunities in adjacent commercial & industrial energy markets to drive long-term growth and platform stickiness.

  • Problem-Centric Leadership: Apply deep product thinking to identify core business and partner friction points. Design solutions that balance immediate urgency with long-term scalability, focusing on the underlying problem rather than micromanaging the solution.

  • Ecosystem Integration: Understand building owners, installers, and capital markets needs as they are all critical stakeholders who will help us to drive overall success.

  • Pricing Strategy: Work with Finance & Revenue Operations to develop and implement sophisticated pricing models and financial structures to optimize market share and margin within the C&I sector.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Operations to ensure product alignment and successful execution.

  • Monthly Business Review: General manage the Commercial business line and lead the Commercial Monthly Business Review (MBR), synthesizing P&L performance and client-facing challenges into actionable insights while ensuring leadership alignment on long-term strategy and roadmap execution.

Who You Are

  • First Principles Thinking: You don't just accept "how things are done." You dig into the core problems and build solutions from the ground up for scale.

  • Strategic Urgency: You move fast because the market demands it, but you build with the structural integrity needed for long-term reliability and platform growth.

  • Ownership Mindset: You take full accountability for your product area, from high-level strategy to the granular details of execution.

  • Collaborative Influencer: Ability to lead through influence, building strong bridges between technical teams and commercial partners.

  • Effective Communicator: You can translate complex technical or financial concepts into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership and external partners.

  • Product Visionary: You can look beyond the current roadmap to see where the commercial energy market is heading and position us to lead.

Experience You’ll Need

  • 5-8+ years of product management experience, specifically within a high-growth technology or renewable energy environment.

  • Deep expertise in the commercial solar and/or energy storage industry.

  • Direct experience in product pricing strategy and revenue management, with the ability to build and iterate on complex financial models.

  • Demonstrated track record of taking products from concept to scale, particularly in B2B or partner-led environments.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions and measure success in complex ecosystems.

Experience That’s a Plus

  • Experience working directly with Capital market asset managers, Corporate owners and other distributed energy resource financing & ownership entities

  • Familiarity with the broader distributed energy resource landscape, including solar PV, battery energy storage, electric vehicle charging,

  • Track record of launching or scaling technology-enabled services products in a regulated or complex industry.

  • AI-native development and experience prototyping and building AI agents with tools like Claude Cowork

  • Advanced degree (MBA or technical MS)

Logistics

  • We plan to have this role start as soon as possible. It will conclude around December 4

  • We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role, now or in the future

  • This is a remote role. If you are in the Seattle area, though, we offer a vibrant office space in the historic and beautiful Smith Tower, in the heart of Pioneer Square

  • While this is a temporary position, we are a fast growing company and often rehire contractors into full-time positions as opportunities arise

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
