Role Summary

We're hiring a Senior Product Engineer to own and accelerate the B2B Dashboard for a 3-month contract.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for an engineer who thinks beyond implementation. You'll work across the full product stack — from backend services and APIs to frontend experiences — while making strong product and UI/UX decisions along the way.

You won't simply receive tickets and execute them. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand the problem, shape the solution, and ship polished, production-ready experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the B2B Dashboard end-to-end. Build and improve core experiences across the ELSA B2B Dashboard, owning both engineering execution and product quality.

  • Drive full-stack product development. Work across Go and Python on the backend and Vue on the frontend, building reliable APIs, business logic, and user-facing experiences.

  • Make product decisions with autonomy. Translate business and customer needs into practical product solutions. Scope work, identify trade-offs, and make sound decisions about what to build and how it should work.

  • Own UI/UX quality. Take responsibility for the user experience, not just the code. Think carefully about information architecture, interaction patterns, usability, and visual consistency.

  • Work AI-natively. Use AI coding and development tools as a core part of your workflow to understand unfamiliar codebases, accelerate implementation, debug issues, and ship high-quality work quickly.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Work directly with product, business, design, and engineering stakeholders. Bring structure to ambiguous requirements and turn them into shipped product.

What You Will Bring

This role is defined by seniority, autonomy, and product ownership. You should be comfortable operating with incomplete requirements, making decisions independently, and taking a feature from problem definition through production.

  • Strong product sense. You think in terms of users and outcomes, not just technical requirements. You can challenge an initial request when there is a better product solution.

  • Strong UI/UX instincts. You care deeply about how a product feels and works. You can evaluate user flows, identify usability issues, and build intuitive interfaces without needing every interaction specified for you.

  • Senior full-stack engineering capability. You are comfortable moving between backend and frontend and can independently deliver production-grade features across the stack.

  • AI-native mindset. AI tooling is a core part of how you work. You use it to move faster, learn unfamiliar systems, improve code quality, and increase your development leverage.

  • High autonomy. You unblock yourself, make pragmatic trade-offs, and take ownership of the quality of what you ship.

  • Strong communication. You can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, clarify ambiguity, and communicate technical and product trade-offs clearly.

Must-Haves
  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Engineer, Senior Full-stack Engineer, or equivalent, with strong end-to-end product ownership.

  • Strong backend engineering experience with Go and/or Python.

  • Strong frontend engineering experience with Vue.js or a comparable modern frontend framework, with the ability to work effectively in an existing Vue codebase.

  • Strong product and UI/UX sense, with demonstrated ability to build intuitive and polished user experiences.

  • Experience turning ambiguous business or user requirements into practical product solutions.

  • Hands-on, fluent use of AI development tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.

  • Strong judgment around code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver meaningful product improvements within a 3-month contract period.

What We Offer
  • Flexible work setup: Global remote arrangement.

  • Competitive compensation package.

  • Collaborative, international team culture.

  • High-impact ownership: Opportunity to directly shape and improve a core B2B product.

  • Global exposure: Work with a distributed team and stakeholders across multiple markets.

  • Startup impact: Opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, well-funded Silicon Valley startup with global impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
