About the role

As a Senior Product Designer at Facet, you'll play a vital role in shaping the user experience across the entire member journey. You'll be responsible for designing and optimizing how users interact with our product suite, with a focus on achieving key business goals like attracting new members, keeping them engaged, and helping them reach their goals. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and product marketing to bring these designs to life. This role reports to the Head of Product Design.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize user flows and experiences across various product areas, with a focus on achieving key business objectives such as user acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Conduct user research and A/B testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define product strategy and deliver user-centered solutions.
  • Design and implement features and improvements to enhance user engagement with core services and upsell/cross-sell.
  • Design user interfaces for our applications, ensuring a consistent and intuitive experience.
  • Present design work to stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale, in various settings, including daily design team reviews, ad hoc reviews with product and engineering, and weekly executive reviews.
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing education for the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Online portfolio required.
  • 7+ years of experience on an in-house team as a Product Designer.
  • Must have experience designing for direct-to-consumer products.
  • SaaS or E-commerce experience is required.
  • Experience in Fintech or adjacent industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining design systems, including the use of design tokens.
  • Advanced proficiency with a major design framework (e.g., Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind); MUI preferred.
  • Advanced experience with user research and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Expert experience creating user-centered designs and the ability to convey UX principles to non-designers.
  • Expert experience with Figma, After Effects, Illustrator - creating Lottie animations is a plus.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
