The role / impact
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing beautiful, enabling, and meaningful experiences that solve genuine customer problems. Working closely with Product and Technology teams, you will tackle medium to large-scale projects, contributing to the definition of 'the problem' and challenging pre-set thinking to ensure our solutions meet the needs of our users.
Your work will bridge the gap between ideal future concepts and current patterns, as you create frameworks, prototypes, and detailed interfaces that are smart and contextually relevant. By delivering high-quality design outcomes, you will have a direct impact on how small businesses and their advisors manage their relationships and compliance, helping to build a stronger economy.
The team / how they connect
You will join the Practice Tools Design team, a highly collaborative group of eight designers spread across Melbourne, Canberra, Auckland, and Wellington. The team owns the end to end product experience for Accountants & Bookkeepers to improve their client relationships, how they manage their books & compliance, and to enable them to build strong accounting businesses.
The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on
Discovery and delivery of improvements for existing Client Subscription management products.
Creating and refining new AI tools specifically designed for Accountants and Bookkeepers.
Designing and delivering key digital assets for upcoming Xerocon events.
Developing phased design solutions using the XUI design system and modern prototyping tools.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and can be based anywhere in Australia (east-coast). Xero offers a hybrid working environment where you can work from our office spaces in a way that balances team connection and personal flexibility.
