Position Overview
 
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Consulting Services to join our growing team.
This leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional client outcomes across a portfolio of Privacy, Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Security engagements. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead complex consulting engagements, mentor and develop consulting talent, and contribute to the continued growth of Zaviant's consulting practice.
The ideal candidate combines strong consulting experience with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for helping organizations navigate complex regulatory, operational, and technology challenges. This individual will work closely with clients, internal teams, and executive leadership to deliver practical solutions that align risk management, compliance, security, and business objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Lead and oversee complex consulting engagements across Privacy, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Data Security, and Third-Party Risk Management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them assess, design, implement, and mature governance and compliance programs.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct and oversee privacy assessments, security maturity assessments, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and control evaluations.
  • Guide clients through regulatory requirements including GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and emerging privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
  • Support clients in developing governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and risk management strategies.
  • Advise clients on privacy program development, security governance, third-party risk management, and operational resilience initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to executive stakeholders and, where appropriate, support vCISO-style advisory engagements focused on governance, risk, and security program maturity.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and Zaviant quality standards.
Technology & Program Implementation
  • Support the implementation and optimization of privacy and GRC technology platforms including OneTrust, ServiceNow, ZenGRC, IBM OpenPages, and similar solutions.
  • Help clients leverage technology to streamline compliance processes, improve visibility, and strengthen governance capabilities.
  • Partner with internal implementation teams and technology vendors to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and industry trends to continuously improve client solutions.
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Engagement Leaders across multiple service lines.
  • Foster a collaborative, collegiate culture built on trust, accountability, continuous learning, and shared success.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance discussions, and career development planning.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration across the consulting practice.
  • Champion a culture where team members feel empowered to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and continuously improve.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a client-first mindset.
Business Development & Practice Growth
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal development, solution design, and opportunity identification.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, webinars, industry events, and strategic marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and introduce additional service offerings.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance and scale Zaviant's consulting capabilities and service offerings
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience within Privacy, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related consulting disciplines.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing client engagements, consulting resources, and project delivery.
  • Proven consulting experience leading complex, client-facing engagements from strategy through implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations including GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, and other global privacy frameworks.
  • Experience working with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and Third-Party Risk Management programs.
  • Experience implementing or advising on privacy and GRC technology platforms, particularly OneTrust.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders ranging from operational teams through to executive leadership.
  • Strong project and programme management capabilities with experience managing multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more IAPP certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT).
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or similar industry certifications.
  • Experience supporting executive governance committees, Board reporting, or vCISO advisory engagements.
  • Experience within a professional services or consulting environment.
