We’re looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager – Sensory & Media Experiences to set the vision for how fans engage with anime through immersive, sensory, and accessible experiences. In this role, you’ll drive innovation from the edges, broaden access to anime, and create experiences that heighten anime as a medium.
What You’ll Do- Shape the Roadmap: Define the strategy and roadmap for sensory and inclusive experiences—articulating how sensory technologies, accessibility-first design, and innovations in areas like subtitles and forced narratives elevate anime engagement.
- Elevate the Experience: Harness sensory and immersive technologies to deepen emotional connection, amplify storytelling, and create viewing experiences that feel more tangible and unforgettable.
- Champion Accessibility: Set the vision for accessible playback of media. Define how these enhancements broaden participation and ensure no fan is left out.
- Innovate from the Edges: Champion inclusive research and explore emerging technologies to identify unmet needs at the margins of fandom. Translate insights from underrepresented audiences into product opportunities that expand accessibility and spark innovation across the ecosystem.
- Measure What Matters: Establish core KPIs that link your work to engagement, retention, and fan satisfaction. Define what success looks like and why these metrics are critical to proving the value of our investments.
- Build Together: Collaborate across Crunchyroll to deliver great products that can scale to serve fans around the globe.
You’ll report to the Director of Product – Play.
About You- 15+ years of experience in product management or related domains
- Proven track record leading innovation in immersive and inclusive spaces.
- Deep expertise in sensory technologies, inclusive design, and/or accessibility a plus
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to align executives, engineers, and operators around platform and supply chain strategies and objectives.
- Experience with patents and standards contributions.
- Bachelors degree or higher; prefer Masters degree in a relevant field.
