Job Description:

   

As a member of the North America Deal Desk organization, the Senior Pricing Analyst provides competitive pricing analysis, financial modeling, and deal structuring support across HPE's portfolio of Enterprise Server, Storage, Networking, Software, and Services solutions. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Business Units to develop pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness, revenue growth, and profitability.

The Pricing Analyst applies advanced analytical skills and sound business judgment to complex opportunities, supports large-scale sales motions, and helps drive business outcomes through effective pricing recommendations, process improvements, and stakeholder collaboration.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide special pricing support for sales opportunities, including deal consulting, qualification, solution development, and approval management.
  • Analyze competitive pricing, profitability, and financial performance for strategic and high-value sales opportunities.
  • Develop and present pricing recommendations that support business objectives while maximizing profitable growth.
  • Prepare complex financial analyses, pricing models, and business case evaluations to support decision-making.
  • Manage and drive worldwide (WW) Business Unit pricing escalations through resolution.
  • Partner with Sales, Services, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Business Unit teams to ensure completeness and consistency of customer proposals.
  • Communicate pricing strategies, policies, and recommendations to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Support margin improvement initiatives through financial analysis and identification of pricing opportunities.
  • Produce moderately to highly complex reports, analyses, and business insights utilizing enterprise tools and business applications.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying operational efficiencies and supporting policy enhancements.
  • Apply business and financial expertise to evaluate complex situations and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as a proactive team member and may lead small projects or workstreams.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members.
Leadership and Impact
  • Exercises independent judgment within established policies and practices to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Contributes to cross-functional initiatives that support organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrates leadership through influence, collaboration, and execution rather than direct people management.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by providing data-driven recommendations.

Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in pricing, finance, business operations, sales support, or financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations and collaborating across multiple functional teams.
  • Experience developing financial analyses, pricing recommendations, and business case evaluations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in technology industry pricing, deal desk, sales operations, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience with pricing strategy, deal structuring, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
