Position Summary

This role is responsible for optimizing and supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) capabilities, with a focus on modules such as Workday Integrations and Extend. The primary duties include process improvement, system configuration, testing, reporting, integrations, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance the employee experience and drive operational efficiency. As a Workday subject matter expert (SME), this role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making, maintaining compliance, and supporting continuous innovation in People systems.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration, testing, release management, and maintenance of Workday Integrations and Extend Module.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, translate business needs into system solutions, and implement those solutions through configuration or reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver custom Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support business analytics.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements by leveraging new Workday features or best practices.
  • Maintain clear documentation of configurations, business processes, and training materials.
  • Develop solutions for tickets and requests, meeting with stakeholders/requestors and landing on a path forward to drive results.
  • Adjust and create new configuration in Production after all milestones have been completed (product life cycle management).
  • Drive Workday updates and semi-annual feature release testing, partnering with HR teams and cross functional partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of (3) years of relevant experience.

Skills

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Workday Pro certification in Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, or other relevant modules. Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, or similar tools for tracking work and managing enhancements. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, data transformation, and reporting. Experience with Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, or Studio) is a plus.
  • Other Qualifications: Deep understanding of Workday’s structure, configuration, and data relationships. Ability to effectively translate business problems into Workday solutions. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functional areas. A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to process optimization.

Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
