About the role
- Senior hands-on developer on federal and healthcare Salesforce engagements
- Owns OmniStudio design, build, and technical quality across multi-release programs
- Requires Public Trust clearance eligibility
- Reports into the Customer Success & Delivery org; works alongside engagement managers, architects, developers, QA, client product owners, and stakeholders
What you'll do
- Lead design and build of OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and Data Mappers
- Architect integrations between OmniStudio, Apex, LWC, and external systems (REST, SOAP, MuleSoft, AppExchange packages)
- Extend Salesforce Industries clouds — Health Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, Financial Services Cloud
- Own code reviews, CI/CD pipelines (Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or DevOps Center), and migration strategy
- Translate ambiguous client requirements into well-scoped technical solutions; push back when scope is unrealistic
- Mentor mid-level and offshore developers; raise the bar on quality and AI-augmented practices
- Participate in client discovery, design reviews, and demos
- Contribute to Synaptic's reusable IP — patterns, accelerators, prompt libraries
Required — Technical
- 7+ years Salesforce development, 4+ years hands-on OmniStudio (formerly Vlocity)
- Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer or Consultant (current)
- One or more of: Platform Developer II, Application Architect, Industries CPQ Developer
- Deep expertise in OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and OmniStudio + LWC patterns
- Strong Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, async processing, platform fundamentals
- Production experience in Health Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, or Financial Services Cloud
- Salesforce DevOps tooling (Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or DevOps Center) with disciplined CI/CD for OmniStudio packages
- Strong grasp of Salesforce security: profiles, perm sets, sharing, FLS, Named Credentials, OAuth, JWT
- Track record delivering on time within fixed-fee or capped consulting engagements
Required — AI-Forward Development (core requirement, not nice-to-have)
- Daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, etc.) in real production work
- Effective prompt engineering for code generation, refactoring, code review, test authoring
- Applied AI to Salesforce-specific work: Apex generation/review, OmniScript JSON authoring, DataRaptor design, test classes, documentation, metadata migration
- Working understanding of the Salesforce AI stack — Einstein, Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein Trust Layer, Data Cloud — and how it fits HIPAA/federal deployments
- Judgment on when AI output requires hard validation: security, PII, generated test coverage, hallucinated APIs, license/compliance risk
- Comfort building and sharing internal AI workflows — prompt libraries, agentic pipelines, MCP integrations
Public Trust Clearance Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust, or higher as required by sponsoring agency)
- U.S. citizen
- Pass federal background investigation: criminal, credit, employment (prior 7 years), education, references
- Pass pre-employment drug screening, including for substances federally controlled regardless of state law
- No unresolved federal tax delinquencies, civil judgments, or other adjudication factors
- Willing to be fingerprinted and undergo periodic reinvestigation
- Disclose foreign contacts, travel, financial interests, and dual citizenship as required
- Must maintain continuous eligibility throughout employment
- Active Public Trust or higher clearance strongly preferred
Preferred
- Working familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or StateRAMP
- Prior consulting/SI experience (Deloitte, Accenture, Slalom, Silverline, NTT, Capgemini, Booz Allen, or peer)
- Managed services, AMS, or hypercare engagement experience with NTE caps and SLA discipline
- Bachelor's in CS, Engineering, or related — or equivalent demonstrated experience
The salary range for this position is based on various factors including experience, qualifications, and skill set. In addition to a base salary, Synaptic employees are eligible for an annual bonus and growth participation points.
Base Salary Range
$120,000—$185,000 USD
