Senior Network Engineer, City Storage Systems - Los Angeles

What you’ll do

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be the architectural backbone of our global connectivity. You aren't just managing hardware; you are engineering the nervous system of a massive, distributed enterprise.

• Design & Scale: Lead the architectural evolution of a high-complexity network spanning hundreds of global locations, ensuring seamless performance and resilience at a massive scale.
• Architectural Mastery: Deep-dive into the full stack, optimizing everything from the physical transport layer to complex multi-protocol routing and high-level transport flow.
• Engineer Through Automation: Move beyond manual CLI tasks. You will build and deploy automation frameworks using Python or Ansible to eliminate toil and ensure consistency across the global footprint.
• Cloud & Security Integration: Collaborate across silos to ensure our physical network integrates flawlessly with cloud environments while maintaining a "security-first" posture.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the highest escalation point and mentor for complex network challenges, defining the standards that the rest of the engineering team will follow

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a heavyweight. This role requires a professional who has lived through the challenges of "Big Tech" or massive multinational infrastructure.

• Scale-Hardened Experience: A proven track record in large-scale, distributed network environments. You understand that what works for a 10-office company breaks at our scale.
• Full-Stack Protocol Expertise: We require an expert-level command of the OSI Model. You should possess a deep, intuitive understanding of everything from physical signaling and data link framing to complex Layer 3 routing (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 4 transport optimizations (TCP/UDP).
• The Automation Edge: Proficiency in Python or Ansible. We are looking for an engineer who builds tools to manage the network as code.
• Elite Certification: A CCIE (or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge) is required to meet the technical demands of this role.
• Security & Cloud Fluency: Experience navigating the intersection of networking, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud-native infrastructure

This role is based in our Los Angeles office. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week. 

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - 192,500 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
