Travel Seller Media, also known as GDS Media, is a legacy part of Amadeus. Amadeus started as a Global Distribution System (GDS) company. So, we’ve been here since the beginning! The team in San Jose works closely with colleagues in Maitland (Orlando), Schaumburg (Chicago), Mérida, Toluca, Dallas, Barcelona, and Singapore. We take pride in knowing that we are helping our hospitality partners generate revenue through using innovating and strategic advertising campaigns.
Summary of the role:
The role is for an open position in the San Jose, Costa Rica office. The position entails developing and implementing advertising campaigns for hospitality partners located in North American and Latin America. This role requires data-analysis, ad creation, and strategic thinking. This position will work with teammates based in 4 locations (San Jose, Mexico, Maitland, and Schaumburg). The position works closely with Amadeus’ Directors of Sales, as well as external hospitality partners (hotels, DMOs, etc.). This allows the person who fills this role to build strong relationships with customers which has a direct impact on customer retention.
In this role you’ll:
Help our hospitality partners grow revenue by designing and implementing effective advertising campaigns within the Global Distribution Systems (GDS). You’ll be developing the strategy using our proprietary business intelligence data, designing effective advertising according to best practices, and assisting internal and external customers understand their performance reporting.
About the ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate must be able to analyze and interpret data. The best candidates are curious and are self-starting, with experience in traditional media / marketing OR a background in hospitality. While the ideal candidate doesn’t have to be artistic, do be aware that ad creation is a part of the job. Don’t worry, we use Canva for the heavy lifting! We also have access to our vast stores of proprietary business intelligence data to help us develop campaigns using real booking data and trends. Must have customer-service skills as the role will be working with external customers regularly.
