About the Team:

The Facilities team ensures that every operation across the site is “go” at all times, supporting everything from power and utilities to highly specialized machines like industrial 3D printers. Our 1 million square foot headquarters is complex: one structure, but functionally 20 mini factories under one roof. That complexity brings unmatched opportunities to grow your skills through cross-training and ownership of specialized systems. With rapid expansion and development of the facility, we’re helping build a truly state-of-the-art work environment. This team is deeply embedded in both planning and execution, brought in early to shape the physical assets that will support scaled operations.

  • Develop service standards, operational protocols, and employee feedback mechanisms to continuously improve workplace quality.

Office Management & Daily Operations

  • Lead daily operations across office and support spaces to ensure seamless functionality and responsiveness to employee needs.
  • Manage space planning initiatives, office moves, seating strategies, and workplace optimization efforts that support organizational growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations for workspace, vendor coordination, and service delivery to maintain operational continuity.
  • Support rapid organizational scaling and evolving business needs through adaptable workplace solutions and infrastructure.
  • Manage facility-related incidents, service requests, escalations, and business continuity activities impacting workplace operations.
  • Partner closely with EHS, Security, and Program teams to align workplace operations with broader organizational priorities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop workplace coordinators, facilities supervisors, technicians, experience personnel, and vendor partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer service excellence, safety, responsiveness, and operational performance.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Manage third-party service providers, food service partners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure exceptional service quality and compliance.
  • Negotiate scopes of work, review contracts, and manage vendor performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Coordinate facility construction, workplace enhancement projects, renovation activities, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with site safety, security, and operational requirements.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, aerospace, and local regulatory requirements across workplace operations.
  • Support audits, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance reporting activities.
  •  Partner with EHS to maintain safe working environments and strong safety culture across all operational areas.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Develop and manage operating budgets and capital expenditures for workplace experience, facilities operations, and employee amenity programs.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining operational performance and workplace quality standards.
  • Support long-range workplace planning, infrastructure upgrades, and site expansion initiatives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
